BLUE TOON vs DUMBARTOON

Recommended Posts

Pish.

Zero creativity. Didnt put their makeshift defence under anything like enough pressure. No real threat when Wilson went off - he looks the only Sons player capable of carrying a goal threat, and even then it's usually his running after lumps forward. Forbes again showing that he isnt the Scottish lower league Pirlo that some strangely think him to be. No threat out wide.

We are not a good team. Robert Jones is as poor a striker as I've seen in a long time.

Did the Peterhead 'keeper have a save to make? We comfortably had more of the match but dont nothing with it. When we continue let the opposition score so easily we won't have much chance of picking up points. In the 2 wins we got we didn't make mistakes to allow the opposition to score silly goals.

Neither team looked like scoring for 99% of that game.

We lack real quality from the midfield to the forwards and it has really shown in the last couple of games.

Credit to Peterhead for managing that second half perfectly. Stop start football and no chance to build any momentum like we did in the first half after the first 10 minutes. Jones and Johnstone subs effectively killed any hope we did have of scoring though.

Two saves spring to mind. Both free kicks from Forbes. There were others.

Two positives; we aren't allowed to attend away games and it is a shortened season.  Other than that, I won't comment as I fear what lies ahead for the club.

But well done to Peterhead, with players dropping like flies they just battled on and seemed to want it more .

Not sure the shortened season is a positive. We could be staring down the barrel of a relegation dogfight after the next four games.
