Ayr United v Dundee

God knows what to expect from this game, would say it's a pretty big one already this early in the season with either team losing going to be looking down the league instead of up. Would also say these are two teams with managers under pressure with somewhat underwhelming starts to the season IMO.

Dundee's issues seemingly are at the back by all accounts with 10 conceded in the league compared to our 5. Our issue is we've just simply been shite all over the park with a ropey defence, a passive midfield and lacklustre attack.

Was seeing today that Dundee have 8 players out just now and could only name 4/5 substitutes with them having a makeshift defence.

With all the attacking players we've got in the squad if we can't ask questions of their goalie and have plenty of shots and even a couple of goals then serious questions will need to be asked.

1-1 Shitfest

Come Saturday, we will have Ashcroft back at CB, potentially another CB in Fontaine if we sign him over the week, Anderson served his suspension today so he'll be back in the squad, and both Jakubiak and Afolabi will hopefully be fit enough to at least make the bench. Hell, Sow might too if he can be bothered, then proceeds to play for 30 minutes and come off injured again.

Thanks for that.... just slimmed our chances now, was hoping for everyone would still be fucked for Saturday lol.

Thought of Afolabi against our defence, every Ayr United fan - "laughs nervously"

All depends if we take it seriously enough to play with a keeper in goal.

Hopefully we can keep Charlie Adam quiet....and McDaid! If we can do that I’ll say 1-0, via a pen or “is it/isn’t it an offside goal” as that’s about all we’re managing to do right now

We laughed when the Ayr fans said McDaid was the 10th best winger at Somerset. Now we are crying.

Dreading this one already. Dundee were a complete gang for the majority of last season however we still didn’t manage a win against them (2 losses and a draw). We have started this season at very best meh. Saturday was nothing short of a disgrace. We created very little against a bang average league 2 side and that’s very concerning.

Teamwise none of the players that got a chance on Saturday impressed so I’m expecting a few changes. From the 5 that were missing 4 will be back with only Walsh missing unless there is any injuries in training:

                          Sinisalo

Houston Baird Muirhead Reading

           Murdoch Chalmers

        McCowan  Smith Moffat

                        Cameron

Subs: Hare-Reid, Hewitt, Roscoe, Miller, Zanatta, Anderson, McKenzie

I’d probably take a draw but we really need to be beating our playoff rivals at home.

Lose this and we are really within sight of shit creek, with our paddle-grasping ability being called into serious question. Must start the new keeper and hope that at least one of our injured forwards are back from injury. Might just scrape a 1-1- draw if we are lucky. (Although that is a relative term, as it'll mean there is less chance of McPake getting punted.)

I think we should go radical on the set up for Saturday

                               Sinisalo

                 Baird-Roscoe-Muirhead

Houston-Murdoch-Chalmers-Miller-Reading

                                Smith

                      Moffat-Cameron

Subs: Hare-Reid, Hewitt, Smith, Kerr, McCowan, Zanatta, Anderson

Yes i know i've got too inspired by the Scotland hype...
