That doesn’t mean we can’t be immensely frustrated at chucking away a brilliant position of a World Cup playoff. luck plays a bigger role in football and life than I think we like to admit. We haven’t beaten Israel in 3 attempts and are Marciano saving a couple penalties away from Steve Clarke looking like a total dumpling. We deserve this luck but I think the we’ve turned some sort of footballing corner narrative is exploded when you look at our results as a list. but F*** it.
