johnnydun
Black and white vertical stripes are clearly the way to go against Hearts.
DAFC.
2-1 would also suggest it was close. We missed an open goal at 2-0. Mayo clearly was caught in two minds whether to cut it back or go for it. With the benefit of hindsight, he is at a bit of an angle, but the goal is gaping there for a nod in. We should have buried that and Hearts wouldn’t have had a sniff.

It was hardly some pumping.

It was hardly some pumping.Of course Hearts had chances, there’s no debating that, but OFW wasn’t challenged, if at all tonight. What I mean is 2-1 would suggest it was really close but I honestly thought we should have scored 4 or 5 tonight before Hearts replied with the exceptional chances we had. The key word there is “should” Mayo missed an absolute sitter and Turner and McInroy probably could have scored with the chances they had. Doesn’t matter a jot though as the worthy winners came out on top in the end. Very encouraging going forward. It’s only one game, and Hearts are by far favourites to win the league still, but they will be rattled after that. We just need to keep doing what we have been.
HoBNob
I think the Hearts fans have been pretty gracious in defeat really, seem like a good bunch, was hoping for more bitterness. Will fire over to kickback for that. 1 minute ago, DAFC. said: Of course Hearts had chances, there’s no debating that, but OFW wasn’t challenged, if at all tonight. But then they did hit the bar twice, have Boyce miss and sitter and absolutely f**k up a 2 on 1, there goal was actually the hardest out of all those opportunities. Obviously OFW only had to save one of those but the others were great chances. Outwith our goals I don't think Gordon had a save to make, however we had good chances that we didn't hit the target with. Think some are getting a bit ahead of themselves, I reckon we deserved the win but 2-1 was about right, thought we performed better as a team and held our shape well in midfield. Don't beleive we'll be challenging for the title but we've made a great start in a short season, should see us in good stead to hopefully reach the playoffs.
DAFC.
I’m not getting ahead of myself at all. Tonight is a fantastic 3 points but Hearts are by far still favourites to win the league. I don’t think it’ll be as easy for them as much as the experts and pundits make out. We’ll push them all the way. Yeah, fair enough we rode our luck at times, but we had exceptional chances to extend our lead when we were 2-0 up.

Stoo61
Well deserved. Could have been more with a bit of composure. Was Obviously still bricking it until the whistle went but would have been very harsh to draw that. What a game Turner has come onto this season, always liked him but wondered if he had enough. MOTM for me again amongst a fair few contenders. McInroy should keep his place, deserved a goal for his efforts, the pair bossed the midfield and looked like they were enjoying it.

I think Turner benefits massively playing with two sitting midfielders behind him. He doesn't have to focus on defensive responsibilities so much and starts in a more advanced position when we win the ball back.
