That's some legacy.

Expect Trump to launch an investigation into the numbers for Hawaii.  Obviously fake.  Just like their birth certificates! 😊

At least the kids in the background can talk about that time they got dressed up and had their hair combed to go to see the president.

600,000 Hong Kong citizens may move here within. The vast majority are graduates with significant savings which should have some hilarious knock on effects.

The new fearless leader of the G-men and enforcer of American justice.

330px-Jeff_Rosen_official_DOJ_portrait.j

Quote

From 2003 to 2006, Rosen was general counsel at the United States Department of Transportation and acted as counsel for Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta.

In 2006, Rosen moved to the Office of Management and Budget where he was general counsel and senior policy advisor until 2009. While at the OMB, he criticized "regulatory overreach" and opposed EPA plans to regulate greenhouse gas emissions. He also served as a representative of the U.S. government on the board of directors of Amtrak.

Rosen returned to Kirkland & Ellis in 2009. From 2015 to 2016, Rosen chaired the American Bar Association's Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice.

On May 16, 2017, Rosen was confirmed as United States Deputy Secretary of Transportation by a 56–42 vote.[6] There he served under Secretary Elaine Chao.
On February 19, 2019, President Donald Trump announced his intention to nominate Rosen for the position of United States Deputy Attorney General, succeeding Rod Rosenstein upon his departure from the Department of Justice. He was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on May 16 by a vote of 52–45. His nomination to become the second-highest law enforcement official was unusual, as Rosen had no previous prosecutorial experience. Attorney General William Barr had urged Trump to choose Rosen as his deputy. Rosen was sworn in on May 22, 2019.

I wonder why he never pardoned Paul Manafort? He been released to home confinement because of Covid, but apparently they bent the rules as hadn't served enough of his sentence. Maybe he doesn't have anything on him.

At the time around his sentencing, the talk was that Giuliani had intervened specifically to make Trump not to do it. These were the trials that had Trump named as a co conspirator 'Individual 1 who serves as President of the United States'.  If Manafort is charged by the state (which Manhattan DA is trying to do), he'll claim (and is already fighting this and winning through the courts in NY) defence under 'double jeopardy' - perhaps part of that process involved exhausting all the appeals etc. Maybe some of that reduces the heat on Trump and creates some legal defence.

I think Flynn is just an idiot who just got his reward of a pardon for being loyal more than anything else and didn't really tangle much with Trump.

I think all added up, the sentence Manafort got was something just under 7 years given some of the time served concurrently and being detained for nearly a year. For a very well connected guy in his 70s with tens of millions stacked away in various places and the crime he's convicted of being tax fraud, I would suspect that he'll find a way out without his pardon very soon, wouldn't be surprised if he never returns to prison.

Trump now blaming Fox News for his loss, by running negative adverts. So maybe he's finally lost faith in Giuliani winning a court case.

Tweets like that are absolute gold. It doesn't matter how much he blusters and lies, Barak Obama will be living absolutely rent-free in his head until the day he dies.

In Philadelphia they have various sites where they talk about American Independence.

One place mentioned that American democracy was demonstrated when George Washington stopped being president, John Adams took over, nobody made a fuss about it and so it continued.

I imagine a lot of asterisks (as in "* - Except for Trump") are being add at all these historic sites.

His legacy will be "The Sore Loser President".

Fun fact, Donald is older than George Dubya and Bill Clinton, by two and one months respectively, and all three cheated the draft for Vietnam.

When Carter dies I hope Bush, Clinton and Obama get little silver "two termer" lapel broaches made for the annual ex-Presidents bash.

P.S. Nothing wrong with draft dodging, especially in Clinton's case as he actively protested against the war, but for a country that worships the military it's a bit odd that they rose to the Presidency, rich kids staying at home when the proles had no choice.
