Liked what I saw from Kelly. Easy to see why Gerrard rates him. Still has a bit to learn with his positioning, when he slides in it's because he's out of position and is worried about the player going past him. Doesn't yet have the physical skills to recover. But his vision, touch, passing range are all very, very good. Reckon he could play as an 8 as well as a 6.

Ross County will be fine this season.

 

Glad County fans are now getting to see how good Kelly is. Can play both but probably better further forward IMO.

Thought we played alright last night. Took a while to get going in first half but once we got the goal we dominated the half. Same again second half took a while to get going then the game got quite open and probably could’ve gone either way.
Maybe if Gardyne was subbed earlier that could’ve prevented the goal but that boils down to himself as nobody knows his body better than him.

Positives - Lawson did well...our best player today

Yep Holt's substitutions are baffling, leaving it late, finally bringing on Poplatnik, but taking off Sibbald who'd been one of our best players. JET or Robbo would've been the obv choice to come off, both looked spent and hadn't been having a great night. Same with only bringing on one sub, and being forced into a 2nd sub by Brown picking up an injury.  Even giving Mullin 10 mins could've injected a good bit of energy into our attack, and taken Robbo off. However odds on Holt would've subbed Forrest and bewildered us some more.

Also agree with you on Lawson, so credit to Holt for that one, had my reservations about playing him at LB, but he did really well, tracked his man well and made a few good headed clearances. 

JET frustrates the life out of me but there's a player in there if we can get him match fit to bring it out. He won a lot of headers and got into good positions to MISS our best chance in the first half, and another one in the second. He brought the ball down well too for that first chance, and has nimble feet for a big fella. If he does start to stick some of those chances away he'd be a decent signing, so far though he's been a passenger at the expense of Tiffoney being dropped, or even Poplatnik getting a chance.

On Poplatnik, he's another that shows signs of being decent, but could be doing with more game time to show us what he can do.

Was astonished that he took off Sibbald. He's a really decent wee player.
