Annoying Film Cliches

People being able to sneak past security cameras because the security guard is reading the paper instead of watching the monitors, almost certainly slurping a cup of cwoffee.  Said guard must also be wearing an NYPD-type hat.

There's always an empty parking space whenever they need to park their car.

There's always a ginormas lorry reversing across an alley whenever the cops are chasing the baddies down it.

I mentioned this in the 'Played out tropes in film and tv' thread - when something bad has happened and it affects the main protagonist of the film, and the news comes on about the incident, something makes them have to turn off the TV/radio right before the revealing of the incident, like the doorbell goes, or the phone goes.  Leaving the protagonist in the dark, and they have to go on an adventure of sorts to find out who or what caused it. Why do they always turn the TV/radio off to go and answer the door/phone?  That would never happen in reality.
