I have it on DVD and I watched it last night. When it was released in 1965 he was already established as Bond, but the roles couldn't be more different. He is really convincing as the protagonist, a flawed and vulnerable man, who is accused of cowardice but is the only one prepared to take a stand and rebel against authority. A great performance by Connery and the rest of the cast.
