Forfar vs Montrose

Better team won but they scored 3 brutal goals, our defending has been shocking at times.

Wind was dreadful but Montrose showed 1st half if you pass it around you can control the game.

Losing Marc is a serious blow and a few others looked to have picked up knocks but having Doris sort of back is a massive bonus......just need a half fit Mark Hill now!!

Agreed. All three goals were avoidable, which makes it worse

Get real, if we’d got the draw today we probably deserved we’d be unbeaten.

Criminal to lose with the last kick, we were playing with a Force 10 gale, i was taking a point after we lost the 1st goal.

We are absolutely brutal to watch eh? Montrose better at everything than us.

Should be getting Antoniazzi on the ball at every opportunity.

I wish we had Antoniazzi. Was creative and threatening when he was with us last season.

Look forward to welcoming Forfar to Balmoral next week

At times we had him and Declan Glass and they were fantastic at unlocking defences and scoring  goals themselves

There's no way we deserved anything from that, Montrose were toying wth us at points.

Malcolm appears obsessed with the defensive side and is being far too cautious, has been since he came in.

You are hardly struggling without him! Would imagine most teams will look forward to us visiting as defensively we have been absolutely gutted and we really don’t offer much going forward. Going to be a hard watch this season, especially with at that terrible pixellot system.

The camera loved the right hand near side, while you needed binoculars to see the far side. Not the best of systems, we have it at Links Park too, but better than nothing.

It also liked following the leaf / bit of paper! Yeah, better than nothing but to me all this is showing is that without live fans this is not very much fun whatever the score.

I was a fan of Antoniazzi when he was at Montrose. Very tricky player with great close control. Never played as much as he’d have liked I guess. Could have been a replacement for Blair Lyons, but very happy with the players Petrie has brought in on loan

It seemed to have a crush on what looked like a woman in a red tabard on the nearside touchline. Couldn't keep its beady little AIs off her. Bit of a Chris de Burgh-type fixation going on with that algorithm.

Has anyone ever watched a pixelot filmed match on a ferry or suchlike? If so, would be interested to know if you felt more or less sea-sick as a result.

As for the game, Montrose had some nice passages of passing play in the first half, which were good to watch. They would have been better if the finishing had been sharper. Once the wind got up in the second half, it killed off the game as far as anything other than "hoofball" was concerned.

I felt Montrose probably deserved to take 3 points, although Forfar showed glimpses of being capable at times. Did miss having a commentary as it was difficult to see the shirt numbers and de rigeur face fuzz only compounded the identity challenge.

It's a bit like the "Guess Who" game at times: baldy heid and beard: a Campbell. Hair and a beard: not a Campbell...

Were Florent Hoti and Chris Mochrie playing in this game guys? If so, any good?

Hoti wasn't but Mochrie did. The PA announcer incorrectly said Mochrie scored the winner, when it was actually Callaghan.

The PA guy also said Cammy Breadner scored Forfar's second when it was actually Antoniazzi. Maybe he couldn't see because he was watching through the Pixellot camera. 😛
