Ooft, looked for a while there that St Cuthbert's might pull off the first shock of the competition.

I see they're actually 2nd in their league - behind Stranraer SOS - so possibly we were doing them bit of disservice to expect a comfortable home win. That said... Tynecastle won 3-0 down there last week in South Challenge Cup.

Whats the script with postponed ties does it go midweek or the following Saturday

There are special - and somewhat odd - provisions this season for PR1-R2.

If ties are off they must retry on Tuesday/Wednesday. That is new element.

However if off again they go back to weekend and retry following Saturday.

If off again it's back to midweek with attempt #4 made on Monday/Tuesday and attempt #5 on Wednesday.

Therefore:

#1    Saturday 12th December
#2    Tuesday/Wednesday 15th/16th December
#3    Saturday 19th December
#4    Monday/Tuesday 21st/22nd December
#5    Wednesday 23rd December

Fairly obvious why this is somewhat odd. Let's take a case study.

Musselburgh will be desperate for Wick to go ahead on Saturday so they don't have to travel midweek. However if it is off, their attitude will totally flip, and they will be desperate for it to remain unplayable (which is a very daft scenario to find yourself in). If it does remain unplayable and returns to next Saturday their attitude totally flips again and they will be desperate for game to go ahead so don't have to travel midweek.

Then from R3 when Premiership enters, all haste disappears, and you get 10 days until attempt #2!

Caledonian Braves, Camelon, Dalbeattie, Musselburgh, Threave and Lossiemouth, Rothes will be hoping of good weather 1st time of asking at Clachnacuddin, Deveronvale, Huntly, Wick, Nairn plus LTHV, Newtongrange respectively.

Failing that... 3rd time!

Can the teams who have highland opposition travel given they get fans in

Deveronvale (Banff) and Huntly aren't tier 1 anyway.

Just now, AlanCamelonfan said:

no becayse fans wouldn't be allowed to leave tier 3 or 4 areas

Dalbeattie, Musselburgh and Threave are tier 2.

Plus tiers may alter Friday.

I'd seen it claimed there is 25 mile radius limit on ticket sales.

#4 / #5 would be ab absolute nightmare!

The team are making steps to get up in plenty of time for this match on Saturday at Wick.

However, how do you plan properly if there is doubt for a midweek match,  You would probably have to get a yes or no by 9am on the morning given it could be a 6-7 hour bribe on bus; break permitted. Even then, weather could change during the day!

Fingers crossed we get the go ahead this Saturday.

A boy at work said that’s why the shippy pulled out as they don’t have their floodlights up yet. If game was off or a draw it would need to be played midweek.

Yep that's why Burntisland and I understand Golspie withdrew.

That said Wigtown took the chance (it paid off - drawn away to Gala).

Dundonald also have an early kickoff v Easthouses - floodlights currently out of action, seemingly.
