The US Presidential election prediction thread

Getting mega Claire Underwood vibes from Kamala Harris in her speech just now. She is absolutely dripping with insincerity.

I just thought she looked thrilled.
Was a bit worried her speech was a bit too presidential though.
It’s Joes night and I’m delighted.....

Two great speeches I thought. More conciliatory than I'd have been as they didn't say c**t or manbaby once.

They did, but it was very subtle, like saying that, for a change, they wouldn't demonise people for where they came from or be absolute c***s. :)

Thought Grandad Joe did a good job there until his Diane Abbot moment with the Covid death count. Think he's got a thing with numbers.
He did correct himself quickly - I know from experience how easy it is to get your words mixed up in the excitement of the moment.

They were obviously confident of winning - that fireworks display was not planned at the last minute!!

I'd imagine both sides arrange stuff like fireworks celebrations well in advance, just in case.

One of the commentators was saying afterwards how the staff had had to take away Clinton's unblasted confetti cannons when she lost.  She had a whole glass ceiling that was going to shatter as well.

Gumtree will be having some cheap deals going in Washington and Palm Beach then!

It has the Republicans seething quite delightfully. "Oh, NOW you want unity? After 4 years of trying to divide the country..." To hear them tell it, that sweet Mr. Trump has bent over backwards to accommodate his political adversaries and it's only the meanie libtards who have thwarted his dream of a better Murka for us all.

He has proved that he was incapable of handling money due to various casino insolvencies, what is remarkable is his ability to grift investors into believing that things will be fine and to keep pouring money into bolstering an empire built on sand.

Really the only thing that's ever made money for him is property in Manhattan. If you could go back to 1980 and give a chimp a map of Manhattan and a set of darts, and bought everything they hit until your dad's $300 million ran out, you'd soon be a billionaire too.

One of the most tell-tale signs that most Republicans are stupid is that they swallowed the idea he's a successful businessman.

From Fox and THE WORD OF GOD!

Quote

It appears that former Vice President Joe Biden will become the 46th president of the United States on Jan. 20, unless President Trump succeeds in legal challenges to the counting of votes in several states. For millions of Christians across our nation, this is a bitter pill to swallow.

President Trump’s strong policies on life and religious liberty would have seemed, from our vantage point, to be a better path for our country’s future. Many of you may be asking: What is God doing in this outcome? Why would He allow this to happen?

In January 2016 — a year before Donald Trump was inaugurated as president — I was flying around Iowa with the then-businessman to campaign with him before the Iowa caucuses.

We had just finished our elegant lunch of Wendy’s cheeseburgers when I said to him: “Mr. Trump, I believe you are going to be the next president of the United States and if that happens it will be because God has a great plan for you and for our nation.”

“Robert, do you really believe that?” he asked.

“Yes sir, I do,” I replied.

Donald Trump then asked: “OK, if that’s true then let me ask you a question. Do you believe it was God’s will for Obama to be president?”

“Yes sir I do,” I said. “Daniel 2:21 says that ‘It is God who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings.’”

Human governments and rulers change at God’s direction and design. Our faith and our salvation lie not in any human ruler, but in the ruler of rulers, the King of kings. We have to remember that even though the occupant of the White House is changing, the One who occupies the throne of Heaven hasn’t changed.

The fact that God has established authorities means that by obeying the government, we obey God.

The Apostle Paul told us: “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God” (Romans 13:1).

Paul also told us to pray “for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions” (1 Timothy 2:1-2).

Now, it’s always easier to submit and to pray for someone when he was our preferred candidate. But the rubber really meets the road when the person who takes office is not the one we supported. Paul didn’t give us any wiggle room — his command applies all the same, whether the emperor was the faith-friendly Constantine or the evil emperor Nero.

Here is our chance to show that Christians are not hypocrites. We serve a God who remains on His throne, sovereignly reigning over every square inch of this vast universe. We serve a God who loves us and will never leave or forsake us. And now we have the chance to show the consistency and constancy/ of our Christian witness to this world.

When Joe Biden becomes president, we should commend him for the things he does right. We should condemn the things he does wrong. And above all, we must pray fervently for our president.

If President Biden succeeds, we all succeed. May God bless Joe Biden, and may God bless the United States of America.

Hot take from Unionist deep thinker.

One of the major barriers a future Scottish independence campaign faces in comparison with the last referendum is that this guy won't be leading the No campaign.

If he'd been paying attention he'd have seen Harris getting binned early in the primaries, because she couldn't play at that level despite raising a lot of money. Not saying she's not a good VP candidate and she may learn some things. Apart from a brief moment of interest in her in the middle of 2019 before being smacked back down over her record as a prosecutor, she achieved nothing and didn't even make it to the Iowa caucus. She's been a full time politician for just 4 years.

My main worry about her as VP is that, if the worst happens and she ends up running in 2024, she won't be up to it.

My guess is the teleprompter had it written in numerals rather than words. I don't think there's any chance he doesn't know the approximate US coronavirus death toll.

Dont know much about the Boogaloo boys

Anti government I thought but leaning far right?

JJ McNab is worth a follow for a run down in the differences between these groups. Boogaloo boys from what I can remember yes, anti-authority, some of them no fans of the police or indeed trump. Not necessarily racists either. (it's half 3 in the morning and I may have this wrong)

The boys that were picked up in philly with a gun or two and Q merchandise were boogaloo according to her here

So here's a thing.

In Georgia the Libertarians are on 61,829. Biden's lead is currently 9,160.

In Arizona the Libertarians are on 49,406. Biden's lead is currently 18,610.

In Wisconsin the Libertarians are on 38,271. Biden's lead is currently 17,732.

In Pennsylvania the Libertarians are on 77,415. Biden's lead is currently 37,298.

You don't even need to move many of those votes to Trump and he's re-elected.
