Air Force Vet Admits He Breached Senate Chamber Armed With Zip Ties, Tactical Gear

A former member of the U.S. Air Force and combat veteran, Lieutenant Colonel Larry Rendall Brock Jr., was among the rioters who stormed the Capitol building earlier this week.

Oof.

"Brock claimed he merely picked the zip ties up off the floor." Sounds legit.

The linked New Yorker piece gives a bit more.

Oh and he only wore tactical gear in case those nasty antifa people were there to fight back.

I do get the impression they were expecting counter protestors to be there and to have some kind of rumble, maybe even a diversionary rumble. We're there not shouts of where are antifa etc? One of the few actual plans the DC police had was how to split the lines of various sides and form a line between them

Oof.

It’s fantastic stuff. I know it looks menacing. That was not my intent. [emoji23]

Probably find he always dresses that way even when he is sitting at home eating popcorn and watching the TV.

Dunno if this has been covered, but it seems that Parler is funded by the same people who fund Breitbart and Cambridge Analytica, and the family who introduced Trump to Steve Bannon.

So aye, think we can all safely disregard their “neutral platform for free speech” schtick.

Free speech lol they banned everything but racism I think we disregarded it from the moment it was set up.

I read a good thread about the AWS thing with Parler.  They are binning them because they refused to stop incitements to commit crimes from appearing on their platform.

This includes the letter they got from Amazon with a couple of examples of posts they were complaining about not getting taken down.

With stuff like this, what can AWS do?  If someone plans a terrorist attack on an AWS hosted website there's a risk that they will be held accountable.

I've read they also posted links to detailed drawings of the Capitol building including the tunnels underneath, which they sensibly didn't reproduce.
