Dunfermline v Queens

Recommended Posts

: 20.Ferguson 3.Maxwell 4.Buchanan 5.Obileye 6.McKee 7.Fitzpatrick 8.Pybus 10.Shields 11.Dobbie [emoji767] 15.McGrory 33.Gibson
Presumably Gibson at RB.
 Subs: 1.Leighfield 2.Nortey 9.Goss 14.Robinson 16.East 17.Joseph 22.Sylla

This has a look of Dobbie isolation incoming. No McCabe at all. Is he injured? Lets hope McKee doesn't make it a hat-trick of gifting a goal.

Looks like a 4-5-1/4-3-3, unless one of the the centre mids is going wide and Shields alongside Dobbie.

Think it’ll be Shields up top and Dobbie on the left. 4-2-3-1, McKee most advanced. Dropping Nortey seems a bit strange, not convinced Gibson can defend.

Not sure why your picking out Willie alone for that. Plenty of culprits for that assessment last week including Nortey.

Fair enough. IMO I think Gibson has something to offer the squad, just not as a defender.

Hopefully the wind is as bad in Dunfermline as it is in the central belt and we can shitfest a point.

I didn't think Gibson was too bad at RB. He was poor at LB though. Between Gibson and Nortey for RB I don't think there's much in it tbh. Nortey's positional sense last week was non-existent for large parts.

You’d be forgiven for thinking we only had 2 defenders on the pitch.
It is just a question of playing the midfielder at RB who is least bad.

No Dow in our team. Is he injured?

He always has the odd game or two where he's out. Was like that all through last season. Not sure if he just picks up small injuries or has some reoccurring issue or even if there is some other reason the manager rests him for the occasional game.

Dom Thomas up against Gibson, what could go wrong?

Looks like we’re setup to try and shitfest it. This cunning plan falls apart when you realise we seem to concede at least 2 goals every match.

We’ll throw some attacking players on when the game is already gone and Johnston will make some generic comments about not being able to fault the players’ effort but individual errors are killing us.
