2020-2021 PPV Summary/Links

Betfred pricing remains flexible, based upon club agreements it seems. All these prices are current, as of 16/10/2020, but clubs may of course change prices for certain games:

I think Arbroath are too. We've got contingency in place in case it's a bit of a disaster. Would be a similar system to Morton where it's all integrated into the club website.

Thanks...just post whatever here and I, or Mr. X more likely, will update up top.

Would be good to have an option to view any game for a one off charge.
Clubs seem pretty poor with their preparation for this, maybe to encourage season ticket sales?
Giving away fans an option to watch is a no brainer.
I'd be surprised if any clubs at this level dont offer ppv, although it is a possibility. I think it's more likely most just haven't decided on a price

His point, as I understand it, is it would be an excellent idea to have a single page for “Scottish Championship Streaming”, where you select the team you wish to watch, pay a fee (same for all), and away you go. It’s an interesting idea, and might be doable as far as a single website that offers links to all the streaming sites, but the same price won’t fly unless all teams offer the same level of coverage. As it is, every team has promised PPV, they just haven’t rolled out the links and prices yet...and a couple may miss a game or two to begin with. For instance, Arbroath is dependent upon getting the fiber up and running and , like Alloa is dependent upon Pixellot to get their interface up (Alloa and has an emergency backup plan, which tells you how it’s going). Even Hearts has now said PPV will be available to away fans...but I’ve predicted elsewhere those league games will all make BBC Scotland

Pretty sure we've said, via a comment Scot Gardiner made to The Wyness Shuffle podcast, that we are using a Pixellot camera as well and we are looking to price PPV around the £10 mark. I'll double check.

ETA: The setup wouldn't be ready until the start of the league season.

Premiership teams didn't announce those details until a couple of days before the season started, likely for trying to sell season tickets. I would expect we'll hear more towards the end of this week or next week.

That kind of setup is what the spfl have setup, so international fans will that option. Unfortunately, for various reasons, it wasn't a good fit for clubs to use domestically.

So far in the Championship PPV trials and tribulations, through 10/10/2020:

Successful PPV: Dundee, Dunfermline, Hearts and Raith

Somewhat successful PPV: QoS (ironing out a few bugs)

Problematical PPV:Ayr  Arbroath (bugged to hell, but Pixellot backup promised to be online by 17/10/2020)

 Clusterf**k PPV: Morton

Untested: Alloa, Ayr, ICT (all up on Tuesday....good luck!)

Fixed thanks to @lichtgilphead

Such as? There was a temporary first half issue whereby some fans were able to access the stream directly without going through a payment process. It was quickly sorted. Anything else that went wrong was relating to user hardware I suspect.  The stream was solid and worked throughout with commentary and replays included.

It's literally exactly the same system as Dunfermline are using so we should be in the same category as them. I'm not sure why they are listed as "successful" anyway given they haven't streamed a game yet?

This also happened at multiple top flight clubs, including my own, for the first time this season, FWIW.
