AJF Posted September 20, 2020 Share Posted September 20, 2020 Poor result. I thought we created enough chances to win the game and should’ve scored more than 2 and put the game to bed. It was a surprisingly shaky defensive display and I hope that is more of a one off and we can sort it out in time for an important run of fixtures. The Porteous stuff is a non-event. I think that’s 4 times I’ve watched him this season and he has been a passenger in each of them. I’m surprised to see him get so much praise again. But I regularly see him heralded online for his displays when I’ve not really been that impressed. On another note regarding the match, I thought Barisic was really poor today. Rangers have clearly walked over packed midfield after packed midfield this season but Gogic was part of a 2/3 today that really stood up to Rangers’ 3 in there. In the first half especially he stopped the danger and broke up play. He’s not a creative player, nor is he particularly adept with the ball at his feet in comparison to our others options but he’s worth his weight in gold to this Hibs team. I’m certainly frustrated at dropping points, but it’s not the first time I’ve made the Gogic observation.
