Just seen this from a Hearts fan on Twitter. What a vile sub human scumbag he is.

That’s horrific. Also can’t believe one of them has had the brass neck to say St Mirren fans are touchy  The simple #heartbreaker tweet has had masses of Hearts fans getting themselves wound up into a frenzy. Morons.

Remember though, Hearts have spent the last 6 months as the very picture of poise, grace and level-headedness.

They have come through so much with so much dignity intact.

Think most St. Mirren fans are acknowledging it's a mixture of shite circumstances, not really fair and adding in a bit of justified 'what if it was Rangers or Celtic' into the occasion but on the whole, we're accepting we need to make do and mend as much as we can. The issue doesn't lie with the 2 keepers tested positive, it's with the forcing of our 3rd choice out of the match but still telling us we're fine to play. Had Urminsky, (a raw 19 year old youth with no first team appearances under his belt) been allowed to play, most of our moaning wouldn't have existed.

Had this happened to Hearts, the screaming histrionics would have been well underway and the doors of the Court of Session would be getting a shoeing as we speak.

We really shouldn't let the toddlers from a lower division hijack this thread, so let's discuss the game.

We were already in a slightly awkward position with Shaughnessy out, and we saw Goodwin trying to shuffle the formation for the game up in Perth which I think we all agree was "not a success" to put it mildly. Throwing the goalkeeper situation into this doesn't help, another understatement, but if we do bring in an emergency loan then we could do worse than Zlamal - granted we could do better - as he'll have experience playing against both Hibs and Celtic. It really could go one of two ways. Either he'll play a blinder (and with the Hibs/Hearts dynamic, that is possible for the first game), or just chuck them in.

It's a shitty position to be in, having no first team keeper, and I was of the mind until Lyness was also ruled out that we should definitely play the game, I still sort of feel that it should be cancelled purely due to the key nature of the position. but it was likely we weren't going to get much from either game (possibly a point at Hibs) but postponing it to another date when it's likely to affect other game(s) in the future (due to scheduling) then we might as well take the hit. Essentially we have a bit of buffer in the table thanks to having won a few games at the start of the season.

Hibs were at 3/4 yesterday. Thought the odds might have shortened since but they're still there.

I was struggling to see past a Hibs win anyway but the events of the past 48hrs will surely take their toll. Three defenders and no goalies. Some laugh, this.

Despite all that, I'm in favour of it going ahead. It's only a game, after all.
