Sauchie v Kilwinning Rangers

What happens there then, will two lucky losers from round 2 get drawn into the hat for round 3?

There would be 2 ways of doing it: draw 2 lucky losers from the previous round or give 2 clubs byes. Just my guess but I'd think the latter would be more likely. Perhaps it might be limited to clubs who didn't receive a walkover in R2, to avoid someone reaching Last 32 without kicking a ball? That would be rather odd.

Dalry has very belatedly scratched to LTHV who receive walkover.

Are WoS clubs getting to pick and choose what they want to play in.

Or maybe they are the sensible ones as much of the central belt heads closer to tier 4 than 2.

Any club had until October 17th (i.e. 28 days ago) to freely withdraw from South Challenge Cup.

Dalry had quit West of Scotland League on October 26th (i.e. 19 days ago).

Hence "very belatedly".

Why no Arniston or Cumbernauld Colts in the draws?

As noted above Arniston scratched from last season's tournament (normally punishment for that is ban following season).

Cumbernauld fielded a suspended player in a tie they lost (ditto).

Penicuik and Jeanfield look the most likely to upside the LL sides, Gala v Sauchie should be even.

The four East v South matches are likely to be won by the EOS but Lochmaben v Kirkcaldy & Dysart will be close.

Tranent, HOB, Linlithgow, Whitehill should win, while Easthouses, Eyemouth will probably to lose - but the rest are not easy to call. Will be interesting to see the relative strengths of East v West.

These ties pit teams at same tier against each other:

East v South

(Tier 6) St Cuthbert Wanderers v Tynecastle

East v West

(Tier 6) Broxburn Athletic v Irvine Meadow
(Tier 6) Dundonald Bluebell v Kirkintilloch Rob Roy

(Tier 7) Eyemouth United v Muirkirk
(Tier 7) Glenrothes v St Cadocs
(Tier 7) Heriot-Watt University v Drumchapel United
(Tier 7) Kennoway Star Hearts v St Rochs
(Tier 7) Thorniewood United v Craigroyston

Tynecastle and Muirkirk will be strong favourites (although St Cuthbert are running 2nd in SOSFL currently). That aside it is all quite intriguing. Broxburn and Irvine Meadow made similar starts to the season. Dundonald perhaps favourites over Kirkintilloch especially with home advantage.

St Cadocs slight favourites at Glenrothes given their respective form. Heriot-Watt favourites over Drumchapel given position, form and home advantage; similarly Kennoway over St Rochs. Thorniewood favourites over Craigroyston for similar reasons.
