Van Dijk was the only player that moved towards the ball and he was onside, it was the 2 players moving out from the middle of the box that were off. Even disregarding that, how can a referee, assistant referee and a VAR official not look at that Pickford challenge and instantly tell that it’s a straight red card. 99 times out of 100 when a player tackles with their leg going in at the same angle as Pickfords was it’s a straight red card.
