COVID-19 In Scottish Football

Not just Hearts- there was a FB post from the West of Scotland League secretary saying training is to stop immediately and don't try any cunning plans like having a secret kick about in the park.

So Aberdeen and Celtic players have spoilt it for Annbank and Maybole, well done lads.

Anybody know what the egg chasers are up to at the moment? I take it they're not due to restart at any time.

Yeah exactly. All clubs even the Saturday amatuers.

Hearts fans ignoring that though and it's all about them.

You'd think there would be more of an infection danger playing rugger than football but I suppose they must have all boxes ticked

The Barbour jacket wearing posh twats.

It’s all football below the Premiership that has been put on hold. Presumably the “elite” rugby teams (ie the ones who are REALLY good at hugging peanuts) are allowed to continue, but I’d imagine the grass roots stuff will have been put on hold too.

Bolingoli and the 8 Aberdeen players will be banned for 4 games tomorrow.

Can’t see a retrospective ban, anyone transgressing in the future should be in front of a firing squad, PPV.

Perhaps a fairer outcome would be to ban the Aberdeen 8 for the 2 rearranged fixtures they caused to be postponed, plus 2 more.

They only caused 1 game to be postponed.

Hamilton game was postponed due to the local lockdown getting a 1 week extension.

Glasgow and Edinburgh are due to play on 22/08 & 28/08

And Edinburgh have a game against Ulster in September

No idea about any other games. It's the end of their season now anyway normally, isn't it?

They should be able to fit 8 games in before the end of the season no bother.

Good you bring that up. Had the SPFL delayed the start of the new league, which they could have done, we could have worked through all these issues while finishing the previous one. Like so many other countries did.

Instead we get "Gong Show Part Deux: Part Repeat, Part Sequel, All Nonsense"

Just super governance again from the blazers. What an incredibly competent bunch. not reactive instead of proactive at all. Give them a pay rise I say.

Hello, hello, it’s good to be back, it’s good to be back...

There are no restrictions on being able to travel to work in or from Aberdeen.

The game was on until Tuesday when NS went on a rant about Bolingoli and said "don't expect Celtic or Aberdeen to play in the next 10 days"

Just read the link. Who would our next game have been played against after Hamilton?

Have you read the JRG statement from Tuesday? I presume not.

"Incensed" and "considering their options".

Delicious, utterly delicious

I'm pretty sure they "considered their options" on a number of occasions recently, only to lose comprehensively at each and every turn.
