COVID-19 In Scottish Football

Recommended Posts

I’m bracing myself for bad news as to whether we can get to games from the 18th onwards.

Its been absolutely galling to watch full stadiums in England whilst the numbers/data in both countries has very little or anything between them to justify such disparity between the 2 countries differing situations.

I think the best we can hope for is a % of capacity for a few weeks as to return to 100% would be too much of a clear admission of wrong doing by the government.

Aye, it was unthinkable that these restrictions would ever be extended right enough.

Clubs got it right on this one, so fair play to them. Job now is to ensure the Government gets such a slagging in the press over this that they think twice next time.

Even if they were extended moving the winter break forward was still the right decision

If they were extended it would have made no difference. We’d have missed x number of games anyway.

It still absolutely made sense, we knew those games were definitely going to be only 500 and there as at least a decent chance the ones after were not. The right decision regardless of hindsight.

Well... that depends how long it would be extended for. The worst case scenario was always "fans will miss an equal amount of games" the best case scenario was always "fans will miss no games".

So if the worst case scenario is no difference then bringing it forward was clearly the best thing to do.

But you said “even if the restrictions were extended”, which if they were, would have resulted in fans missing games even in the best case scenario.
