COVID-19 In Scottish Football

Nothing surprises me about Celtic this season and the utter fuckwittery of those in charge, if it is indeed someone returning from Dubai then we learned nothing from the earlier outbreaks.

Best wishes to the player though hopefully it’s not too severe

There are guys on kerrydale claiming Leitch in the Scottish Government was making numbers up to make Celtic look bad. He quoted 5,000 UAE cases in the last 24 hours. It's actually 5,000 in 48 hours. But hey, that proves it's all a conspiracy against Celtic. They do all they can to avoid how Celtic themselves have handled this.

From how the title has gone to the Dubai travel, it seems the Board at Parkhead has lost any focus at all. Almost like they dont care anymore.

If it is a player who was in Dubai then we got what we deserved, a total clusterfuck of a club. Embarrassing.

If the rest of Scottish football is put on stop by the Scottish Government, do the rest of us get what we deserve?

Whoever at Celtic who sanctioned this trip amidst a pandemic which has already cost us key players in crucial games and in a period where cases are rising should find themselves shown the door immediately for putting peoples health at risk, the football doesn’t even matter at this stage.

If we get our arse handed to us for this we deserve it

Nah, he will get his 7 figure bonus like he always does.

Hopefully doesn’t happen however Celtic and those who sanctioned the trip need to be held accountable for it. We don’t really have any excuse or can defend it

Wouldn't wish Covid on anyone. Jim Goodwin yesterday in his after match interview mentioned one of our players who has been suffering its effects since contracting it in October. People may survive it but it can have longer term effects on health.

I have all faith in the SFA that they'll punish Celtic in the same way as if it was say Killie or St Mirren breaking the rules.

The game tomorrow night will be off and the SFA will not fine them.

It would be unfair to make them play the game with players out. As for a fine that would also be unfair how are they meant to financially compete if they were fined. Its not fair!

Aren't we all meant to be working from home whenever possible? Also it being illegal to travel outside our own local authority area unless absolutely neccessary?

Then why is Graham Alexander at a football match 150 miles away from the central belt watching a game that is being broadcast live on TV?

Fines are zilch unless huge and it wouldnt be.  Docked 3 points the way this season has gone would be ignominious. The 'icing' on a cake that would give you food poisoning.

Of course they won’t. It should mean our and Killie’s appeal is successful though. It’s either that or punish them proportionately and we all know there’s no chance of that happening. Celtic are much too big a club to get a sanction like the one given to us.

Did wonder that myself when he was shown on TV. Scouting trips are not essential individuals required inside stadiums, particularly as you say the game is on TV.
