The Other Foot 470 Report post Posted October 22, 2020 2 hours ago, 8GamesToGo said: Who cares. You seem to read my posts so you know my annoyance is with the inconsistencies throughout the decision-making, eg the arbitrary nature of having "relegation" for some (hearts, Thistle, Stranraer) but not others (Hamilton, Brechin, etc). Same with promotion. Fine for Raith, etc but not for Falkirk, etc. Cancelling playoffs, depsite time being there to play them, but not the SC. etc, etc. And the fact that clubs like Brechin and Hamilton were on the board that came up with the recommendations. As a Dundee fan you seem fine with voting you rival a title AND voting to cancel playoffs that could have seen you promoted. Weird doesn't even cover it. 'Hearts' with a small 'h'. Intriguing...

I'd be more worried about the poor guys mental health than his ability to appropriately capitalise though! kingjoey 3,159 Report post Posted October 23, 2020 With all the talk about how difficult it is to fit in fixtures that are postponed, why was the Kilmarnock v Motherwell match from 2nd October not played this midweek? You would have thought that to alleviate a potential fixture congestion in the near future you would get any called off match played asap like the Aberdeen v Hamilton game. Because there’s no fans and security to consider, matches can be played at the drop of a hat. Makes no sense to me.

G51 1,346 Report post Posted October 23, 2020 We are already in the position where league position is going to influence clubs decision making with regard to COVID protocols. Doncaster is way too late in making the case for this. -

With all due respect, the board didn't really make the case for it in July. The words used were that the transfer of powers would avoid "division and rancour" in the event of the same thing happening this season. But it never really felt like the case was being made as to why this would be preferable over the division and rancour that would be caused by the board making a decision without the clubs input. In addition, nobody knew who was even on the board until the deadline day for voting. If Doncaster, MacLennan and McCluskey had identified the risks and revealed the composition of the board before the voting process began, the chances of success would have been higher. Even then, once it was rejected they just seemed to completely give up on the idea until it was too late. Edited October 23, 2020 by G51

You come up with contingency plans anyway. You don't just go... Ach it'll probably be gone by then.
