COVID-19 In Scottish Football 2020/2021

Has Lennon been abused by some because of his background? Of course he has. It'd be stupid to deny that. It would be even MORE stupid to deny that the majority of abuse he gets is because he's a c**t.

He was your second most expensive transfer ever at the time, and had over 100 EPL games for a Leicester side who won a Cup and played in Europe 😂

I had no idea you were one of the fucking morons who believed anyone, outwith two clubs, gives a f**k about a players religion, yet here we are.

I’ve seen it at away grounds and suffered sectarian abuse at a few, worst cases were at Kilmarnock, Falkirk and Motherwell. As I said in my 1st post in this, it’s my opinion, and I don’t expect anyone who hasn’t witnessed it or experienced it to agree.

His every touch on his debut at dens was booed by the home support, doubt it was due to him being a horrible, fat, cheating w****r, as he had never played in Scotland before, just my opinion btw.

Using your logic, that would mean that every Catholic playing in Scotland around that time would be booed every time they touched the ball at Dens? Did that happen?

I find it strange that you pick out harsh treatment at the places you mention but no mention of the atmosphere of an old firm match where the sectarian abuse is continual and much more intense.

Edit .   Apologies to everyone for this opinion . I am in no way wanting to be held responsible for turning the thread into the usual sectarian debate.

He can't hear it over his own sectarian singing there.

One thing worse than people assuming you're a Catholic because you're a Celtic fan; is people assuming you're a Celtic fan because you're a Catholic.

Truly offensive.

To be fair was that straight from kick off or after he'd made a few tackles or complained to the ref or other players?

I've heard this before, but both Dundee clubs have had Irish players, have both Protestant and Catholic fans (amongst others). Besides if they were like that there would have been plenty of Celtic players to boo in addition to all the Irish players on their own team and other clubs.

If someone is getting booed, it is because they are a threat to their team, or their behaviour is unacceptable on the pitch. In Dundee it is sod all to do with "the divide".

Drew's just trying to divert attention away from yesterday's catastrophic press conference,  he knows he's posting rubbish.

😂

Are you genuinely claiming only people who've suffered sectarian abuse can identify it? And that certain boos are more sectarian than others?

Celtic fans masks have completely slipped here. Absolute moon howlers.

Mind that time Billy King was booed at Celtic Park after being subbed while playing for Hearts?

Wonder why that was?

It's what we were all hoping for. Tommy Sheridan has come out in support of Neil Lennon.

More evidence that he and @wastecoatwilly are one and the same.

Where do you start with that? He should stick to "exotic" nightclubs for his hobby than making videos like this!

A while ago admittedly but was it not under Butcher one of Motherwells players got abused by their own fans? Fagan I think the guys name was. Must admit now Motherwell fans  are nothing like some of them used to be, quite jealous how their community style club is run tbh.

Im not a catholic but the amount of jibes about priests and asking about catholic schools (I never went to one) by work colleagues over the years is nauseating. Its a strange creepy obsession some people have about it.

So let me get this right..... Neil is attempting to pressurise Sky bosses into forcing Andy Walker to apologise.

Bullying in other words, which is one of Lennon's main gripes if I'm not mistaken.

What an absolute c**t.

Any news from the SFA regarding the compliance officer looking in to celtics recent breaches of Covid guidelines......

I think that position is vacant at the moment. Maybe Maxwell could provide cover in the meantime......although the fatal flaw in that suggestion is that it would involve Maxwell actually doing something. I’ll try to come up with a more realistic idea.

It's not a Q&A M8,
Here's what I think you can agree or disagree, there was no problem with Celtic going to Dubai Hibs were not happy with the game getting moved but it comes down to the home team to have it moved,at this point nobody cared.
Celtic get beat by sevco the next day fly out to Dubai still no problem, just the same as getting beat in Europe or players going on international duty it's all the same risk and part of the same mythical bubble.
Photographs appear with players in a bar and the manager and captain having a beer at the pool this is not acceptable to the dafties and the diddies, social media kicks in and the hatchet job begins.
Jumping on the bandwagon Forums and phone ins everybody having their say before the team get back into the country, having a pint and sitting at the pool is a crime.
All the good work in Dubai is turned to dust and blowing away in the wind,it doesn't matter what Lawwell or Lennon says  the dafties and the diddies minds are made up.
And for the bonus prize 2 players catch the virus and 16 members of staff have to self isolate resulting in Celtic dropping 4 points because they have a bigger squad and can fulfill their fixture.
Celtic as far as i'm aware haven't broken any rules or protocols,I'm pretty sure Celtic didn't want any of their players catching the virus whether they go to the local shop or fly to Dubai and back.
It's pretty clear the protocols and rules are changing week by week but football is still continuing with more and more restrictions being put in place.

Edit - and now Ian McCall, the PARTICK THISTLE MANAGER, is condemning St Johnstone for saying too much in statements. Wow.

McCall is a tube.

The only time I've witnessed the then St Johnstone chairman and now owner swear with vitriol and genuine disgust was when someone at our hospitality table mentioned "what about Ian McCall as the new manager". Part of Geoffs reply was along the lines of "that scruffy mink will never be anywhere near St Johnstone manager as long as I'm alive"

Think there's a bit of history there.

I'd fucking love that gig tbh.

Although I might start punishing clubs for failing to control their posters on P&B.
