There was no basis for their ruling in the first place. The SPFL board asked the Clubs to approve a 3-0 forfeit for clubs being unable to fill a fixture due to Covid. By a large majority the Clubs rejected the proposal. Then the SPFL panel, against the express wishes of the member clubs, imposed a 3-0 forfeit anyway. The Board should resign.

That vote was for an automatic forfeit if a game was called off, regardless of the circumstances. Voting against that didn't preclude them from awarding matches in cases where protocols were breached.

This should have been the basis for any further considerations. Clubs were not asked to break down the circumstances any further.

But the hypocrisy on here is staggering but not unexpected. If the shoe was on the other foot and Killie and St Mirren were awarded 6 or 3 points only for them to be taken away I am sure they would all be quite happy and respectful of the decision. If Motherwell had called off games at the last minute and broken Covid protocols I absolutely know that St Mirren and Killie fans would have our back NOT.

Jacky1990
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55684189 So League One and League Two clubs get told the league is cancelled with hardly any heads up but the Championship clubs get written to asking for their opinions. Not suggesting the decision to suspend the lower leagues isnt the right one, but the inconsistencies in the way this is being handled between the different leagues is infuriating.

Big teams call the shots. Wee seaside league diddies like *checks Scottish League One midtable mediocrities* 'Partick Thistle' do what they're told.

Their competition has already been suspended. Seems to me the SPFL should be brokering that discussion. surprised the SFA knew who to contact to ask if I’m honest.
