Lockdown all Glasgow based teams - Celtic, Hamilton, Motherwell, Rangers, Saint Mirren - for the next month and force them to forfeit their fixtures during that time.

FFS , mate ... Hamilton, Motherwell and St Mirren are not Glasgow based ....🙄

We are already in the position where league position is going to influence clubs decision making with regard to COVID protocols. Doncaster is way too late in making the case for this.

Changes were proposed in July and rejected by the clubs at the time. I think they, and tbf the majority of us, probably thought that in July we were on a route away from the virus, but the last couple of months have punted that into the sea.

With all due respect, the board didn't really make the case for it in July. The words used were that the transfer of powers would avoid "division and rancour" in the event of the same thing happening this season.

But it never really felt like the case was being made as to why this would be preferable over the division and rancour that would be caused by the board making a decision without the clubs input. In addition, nobody knew who was even on the board until the deadline day for voting.

If Doncaster, MacLennan and McCluskey had identified the risks and revealed the composition of the board before the voting process began, the chances of success would have been higher.

Even then, once it was rejected they just seemed to completely give up on the idea until it was too late.

You come up with contingency plans anyway.

You don't just go... Ach it'll probably be gone by then.

Football should be shut down then restart in the spring and through summer. We are not out of the first month of winter things are only going to get worse.  Wont happen of course too much money involved with tv contracts.

There's a lot more than TV contracts stopping that. Who is going to pay all the contracted players and staff until the spring? Are the SPFL going to ask UEFA to postpone the Euros in June and ask for a special exemption to allow our teams into next season's European competitions after they've started?
