Public Health applies to all sectors and it is possible to close the operations of a care home with immediate effect.
Coventry Saint
At least the SPFL used lockdown to add wording to its rules to address the issue of games cancelled because of Covid protocol transgressions. And the whole 'minimum number of games for a completed season' threshold thing. Eh? Oh. Edited August 11, 2020 by Coventry Saint

An absolute classic of the boot-licking format right there. Most regular members of the public who leave their house to go out somewhere, generally don't run into police officers instructing them on what to do. If that is your own personal experience, then they must have you down as a right nobber who needs regular supervision in public, but isn't worth the bother of prosecuting.

She can however regulate what they can and can't do if they're found guilty of breaking regulations. There doesn't appear to be any bubble for footballers either. Essentially the rules they seem to be adhering to at the moment are the same as everyone else with the exception that they actually get punished for breaking them.

You can't see the difference between something that is hard to do and actually having a feasible solution? Between April and June hospitals were over run, ICU was rammed. So what would your hard solution have been? The care of elderly and infirm can't be equated with dealing with a football league that seems incapable of getting through 3 weeks of fixtures without fucking it up.

Just euthanize the people who end up on the street as a result of the closure. Problem solved.

This isn't April anymore: the vast majority of the economy as well as social events were in fact been back up and running for weeks before football started. Footballers might be 'expected to set an example' according to the moronic agenda of the tabloid media in this country but that doesn't mean that they are contractually or legally obliged to buy into that bullshit as well. The double standards on display at almost every level from the government to the moral outrage brigade on here is absolutely wild.
