seems to almost have been forgotten about.  He was poor before he got his move, which was very surprising, and worse on his return, he's not really been missed has he?

I always thought that he had skill and ability but just isn't streetwise enough to cut it at this level.

He has scored a few screamers. The free kick against Raith and his goal against the smokies at new year were decent.

Aside from that I don't think that he's fulfilled his potential.

There's definitely a player there, and yes he has scored the crackers you mentioned.  He seems a player who needs confidence to be perform, and he was lacking confidence for a long long time.

Was his absence not discussed at the Meet The Manager evening?

Hoping for Cammy Ballantyne to sign on the dotted line again next couple weeks.Great to have the core of the squad again signed up CB would be the icing on the cake for me,even better would be a 3 year contract like Blair Lyons but I doubt that.

What’s happened to the team since Xmas?  We seem to have completely lost our way on the pitch with a series of grim performances and we now have the worst disciplinary record in the league.  No way we’re going to mount any type of a challenge in the playoffs unless things pick up big time.

Yeah we are not playing well right now at all.Not sure what has happened to be honest and thought by now we would be out of this slump but it's gone on for weeks now This has to be SP worse run of form too since taking over but what he has done for the club since coming in am sure most supporters will let him away with it.

We really need to pick up points in the next couple games too cement 3rd place, Queens Park hot on our tails now and with Falkirk coming up next week if we were to lose that might give them a boost to kick on and leave a nervy finish for the play offs. What we do need to do in the the remaining games is keep 11 players on the park the amount of players we have had  sent off last couple games is shocking.

Tbf, do you guys have much to play for right now? It seems like you're effectively guaranteed to finish in a play-off spot unless something drastic either way happens. I reckon it'll be a bit of a slow burn until the play-offs start when they get back into the swing of things, and I hope so that's the case for you guys rather than a full-on slump until the very end of the season.

December 2016 Stewart Petrie was appointed Manager of the club with Montrose rooted to the bottom of league 2.

2016/17-Play off defeat to Peterhead(No where near ready for Play offs)

2017/18-League 2 Champions(First championship in 33 years!)

2018/19-Play off defeat to QOTS(Stephen Dobbie show)

2019/20-4th place finish play offs cancelled

2020/21-Play off defeat to Greenock Morton(Tough one to take)

2021/22-Play offs secured again!........?

Some turn around from the club since his arrival 5/6 years ago. The club is going from strength to strength each year always (at the moment)at the right end of the table. When you look at Montrose prior to 2016 we were the laughing stock of League 2 and very close to joining the HL.......ALL HAIL SIR STEWART PETRIE MBE

Good post, although it was 33 years since our last championship.

He's done some job for you's. Excellent manager at this level and surely some championship clubs would be looking at him. Gonna be a close game on Saturday between us. Hope it was the case that Falkirk were dross on Saturday rather than you's getting back on form. A win for Montrose would carry great momentum going into the play offs. Looking forward to visiting Links Park on Saturday, let's hope the conditions aren't 90mph winds like the last time.
