Week 1: Hamilton (1-5 Celtic (A))

Week 2: Hamilton Accies (0-1 - Ross County (H))

Week 3: Hamilton Accies (0-1 -  St Mirren (H))

Week 4: Motherwell (0-1 - Accies (H))

Week 5: Motherwell (0-3 Celtic (A))

Week 6: St Johnstone (0-1 Motherwell (A))

Week 7: St Johnstone (0-1 Ross County (H))

Week 8: St Johnstone (0-2 Livingston (A))

Week 9: St Johnstone (0-2 Celtic (H))

Week 10: Hamilton Accies (3-5 St Johnstone (H))

Week 11: Hamilton Accies (0-8  (EIGHT) Rangers (A))

Week 12: Hamilton Accies (1-2 Dundee Utd (A))

Looked for a little bit like Accies might leave the Hot Potato in Dundee, however normal service then resumed after 11 glorious low-carb minutes. And they lost. Again.

Dundee Utd up to the occasion as they see off Hamilton in their first Hot Potato fixture of the season.

That was gameweek 15, so we are naturally going on to gameweek 13 now, as Hamilton host Aberdeen tonight, in a game rearranged due to last seasons Scottish Cup. This always ends up in a mess, but I'm sure this season will be extra special.

Must confess I forgot about Hamiltons midweek game against the Dons, and it was a momentous occasion as the first time this season that a Hot PotatoTM holder has drawn with their opponents, meaning I had to add a column to my sexy table. But they didnt win, so they kept it anyway.

Week 13: Hamilton Accies (1-1 Aberdeen (H))

However, boosted by avoiding defeat against the Dandies, they then welcomed #superkillieaway to the Superseal CBD oil Energy Arena Park or something, who after losing 3-0 to Covid, lost again, this time only 1-0 though. Baby steps.

Week 14: Kilmarnock (0-1 Hamilton (A))

I'm not going to include Covid wins in this because I'm still pissed off at Motherwell jumping Saints with 6 points and 6 goals.

Hibs now remain as the only team not to have the added pressure of a Hot Potato fixture.

If we were to backdate this, with covid results counting, Hamilton take it after the 3-5 game v St Johnstone, then give it to St Mirren via covid, who then have a postponed game v Celtic (if thats a 3-0, f**k knows where we end up - I cant remember who broke the rules that time), then a 0-0 with Dundee Utd, then a 1-0 win over Livingston, who immediately beat Dundee Utd.

Never mind yer COVID forfeits and all that. The Hot Potato needs to be earned on the pitch.

How about we propose a splitting of the potato? One half is isolating with other teams as it has COVID, the other half of the potato pure and untainted.

Hot Potato. COVID Potato.

No.

This is not a democracy, no proposals. Unless I like them, in which case they will obviously be taken on board

Well what can you say - they might be butchering the 10, but Celtic really show up when it matters, sending Killie away back to enjoy some Hot PotatoTM with their Killie PieTM. What a meal.

Week 16: Kilmarnock (0-2 Aberdeen (H))

And they retain possession going in to the midweek fixtures, as Aberdeen stroll in and out of Kilmarnock with 3 points, extending their unbeaten run against Killie to approximately 246 games, or about 19 years. Or it seems like it anyway.

All to play for this midweek though, as Killie travel to Dundee United to see who gets Hot PotatoTM with their turkey this year.

Well, after a lovely few weeks off it's back to work, and naturally that means back to Hot Potatoing.

After a Christmas spent in Kilmarnock, the Hot PotatoTM gives two fingers to Nicola Sturgeons Tier 4 by travelling to Motherwell for a Hogmanay visit, and defies her even further by having the audacity to stay over.

It then abides by lockdown rules by staying in place at Fir Park until now.

Motherwell host Rangers on Sunday, followed by trips to Aberdeen then Ross County, and then home to Dundee Utd.

It could be with Motherwell for a wee while yet.

Well well well.. They put up a fight, and could have sent the champions league leaders home with their first real honour. However a dubious equaliser ensures the Hot PotatoTM stays in Lanarkshire. How very covid-compliant.

Motherwell join Hamilton at the top of the Hot PotatoTM league with 6 weeks.

Next up for Motherwell is Aberdeen away on Saturday, while the big teams (and St Mirren) play in the League Cup Semi Finals.
