Aberdeen v Hamilton - Wednesday 7.45pm

Can't say I'm sure what has changed from yesterday or the weekend, when this game was seemingly scheduled to go ahead, to suddenly get it called off today, other than discovering that a Celtic player went to Spain and then broke quarantine rules.

We're getting taught a lesson because another club's player broke the rules as well.

It's not really penalising us now because we will have the players back for the re-arranged game. So even though

The first minister said she did not want rule-abiding clubs and players, as well as fans, to be punished for the individual breaches.

But she indicated "very clear penalties" will be in place for players and clubs when rules are breached.

The club being penalised is Hamilton. Which is a bit shit. For them. I'm not too fussed obviously.

Bolingoli undoubtedly prodded the already angry hornets' nest, but the official reason seems to be that Aberdeen City will remain on lockdown for another week.

That could have been lifted at tomorrow's one week review, but Professor Leitch seemed to intimate that the current data meant that another week looked likely.

I thought work-related travel was permitted, though? This postponement seems like an arbitrary decision to me, with no real purpose other than to 'send a message' to football clubs.
