EdinburghPar1975
Hi All, Not sure the best place to post this question but this seemed a good place to start! I've been given a vinyl jukebox from the early 80s, power works, speakers work and the 'lifting' mechanism all works. The records themselves play but can sound slow as if someone is stopping the record moving properly. I spoke to the company that originally made the unit and having seen videos sent from me they think that there seems to be an issue with either the turntable ( maybe needing removed and cleaned up) or that the needle is putting too much pressure on the record and causing the slow down. Older records/ heavier vinyl seem to play better so i'm thinking it might be the needle... Does anyone know of any companies that would be able to undertake the work to repair/ refresh these bits? As i didn't pay for the unit i'm reluctant to fork out on a full 'service' but woould rather someone who knew what they were doing had a look. Thanks in advance! L. Brilliant
I will bet you there's a reddit community frequented by enthusiasts for that kind of thing... Have a search of reddit for vinyl and jukebox etc
