Definitely offside, but a yard? No sure tbh.

I think the linesman was visually confused - there were a few players getting tangled, getting up again and Kelly went walkabout in front of his defence.

Thats not a defence of the non-decision, but you can understand why he made a mistake.

I can’t.  Surely goalie out the goal is a specific scenario he has been trained in, out of the ordinary, stay alert, make the right decision, but no.

Was it Sportscene or Premier who drew a line when Nisbitt (?) hit it.  Close to a yard off.

Not defending it, but I can understand why these errors happen.

Still dont want VAR though😁

Classic bbc Scotland. It’s not like he’s doing a serious programme like match of the day. Now that really would be bad.

There are only three words officially associated with offside;

Just

Yard

Well

It must fall into one of those categories

That was one of the replies to his tweet.

I don't like Sutherland, but everyone doing live TV misspeaks at times, it's nowhere near as bad as being factually wrong, which suggests a lack of research.

Don’t like to be picky, but he was factually wrong.

He was factually wrong because he misspoke, not because he didn't know the correct fact.

You missed out Davie Provan’s favourite: “half”.

"The"? We've already got Watt and Kelvin.

(Yes, I know they were just named after them and that Kelvin was born in Belfast.)

Someone will surely steam in starting a heated debate about East Kilbride being a newton.

Kiltie's goal being described by several on commentary as being a great finish despite acknowledgement of a rather big deflection.

Deflected strikes shouldn't be praised IMO. The goal could be a potential Puskas winner but as soon as it takes that deflection then it's no better than Marios Ogkmpoe's goal collection.
