McGlynn’s Barmy Army vs Red Lichties (17.10.20)

Recommended Posts

We started well enough, Miko should hit the target with a header, McKenna has a good effort saved and Donnely misses a great chance. Raith get a goal and then it's heads gone for the next 15 mins and never in the game after that. First penalty is harsh for me as he wins the ball and the tackle isn't dangerous. It was no different to other tackles later in the game for corners etc. Second penalty is a joke imo and yellow card followed by red summed up the day.

Raith fully deserved their win though and were consistent throughout the game commanding the midfield. We missed the dig and graft of Whatley and Gold and our back four had an off day.

After the first 20 mins or so that turned out to be a really good start to the season. After Armstrong's goal only one team in it. Thought O'Brien was unlucky to walk for that handball but Little should have been off the pitch by then anyway; spent his afternoon fouling anyone in a blue shirt.

Thought we started well and on another day could have been 2/3-0 up, brilliant save from McDonald, he's a decent keeper.

Huffed and puffed the second half, but never really did anything inside their box. Linn was alright, Miko was quite for his usual high standards. Armstrong was excellent for Raith and on that performance youse will definitely stay up.

No complaints really and Raith deserved their win. A bit worried now about the Jambos coming to Gayfield.

The stream was brilliant Raith. Decent commentary, wee replays, no buffering and the chat was interesting too! What did one of the Lichtie fan's say? I missed it and it was deleted by the time I scrolled down but seen the "This is a family chat room," and "no need for that type of talk,"

Things were said about 9/11 being an inside job and also mentioned a certain coach at Celtic , no place for this!

Just watched the highlights, 1st goal was a great strike, 2nd goal was shocking defending/goalkeeping and the pen looked a bit soft. The 2nd penalty is ridiculous im not exactly sure where footballers are meant to put their arms if the ball is blasted at them full pelt.

Could have easily been 5 or 6 and its a bit worrying that we play hearts on friday with potentially 2 midfielders at the back.

For Ballingry Rovers?

Oh wait! It would have been for East Fife?

The fat man left Bayview and ploughed a lone furrow with Ballingry, the club recruited a few league players with big money but the whole thing hit the buffers and the club went down the toilet.

Back to the league 1 forum you pop. There's a good lad.

9 years ago in possibly the second most one sided derby we've had against East Fife in the last 30 years too. Tade and Baird ran riot that day.
