Wonder where "the press" picked it up from?

Clubs should be seeing this and voting on it before any "We understand that..." type exclusives get leaked to twitter accounts begging for RTs.

We've covered the league for years now and frequently get messages from coaches/players/fans asking for information. If we have something to say then we'll say it.

It was noted on here yesterday. I'm actually surprised the Catchup boys took so long to mention it on Twitter.

Season is done, league have written to clubs today to tell them that it’s finished and settled on PPG. Had a message from a committee member at one club earlier.

My issue is more with people leaking things to all and sundry rather than going through proper channels, not with you lot trying to get a few clicks on your Twitter page.

The meltdown from some Bonnyrigg players has been the highlight of this whole shambles.

Toys out the pram because they are 3rd.

Poor George Fraser being slaughtered when he's doing the right thing and his club actually lose out emoji23.pngemoji23.pngemoji23.pngemoji23.png

Kelty and EK just playing the bottom half (10/13 and 9/12) leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Kelty deserve to be champions based on last season. Hope they go up and relegate Brechin.

I also hope Jeanfield are promoted from the EOSL in a similar scenario

It seems to have stemmed from thinking the top 2 will end up getting promoted through the Colt proposal. Therefore making it "easier" for BSC to go up the following year.

It's not exactly a leak if it's on P&B from people that have spoke to club committee members confirming it. Half the time we are just confirming what people already know, so again, what's the issue?

Don’t understand why there isn’t a rule in football, if a season isn’t completed then all teams must have played each other team at least once and it’s only those results that count. A simple way to have a fair table. Null and void if the league doesn’t even get that far.

In a smaller league results would count if everyone had played each other 2 or even 3 times, as long as played every other team.

There was meant to be an agreement amongst the Lowland pyramid leagues that 50% played would be acceptable to apply PPG. With non-league cancellations and postponements getting everyone to play each other once would be a bit trickier and less likely to have occured at a random stoppage in games.

The Lowland League is looking to work around. As looking they're looking to have a Champion for the SPFL Play-off and probably determine participation in the SPFL League Cup and SPFL Challenge Cup.

When the West Region was wrapping up they were just going to apply PPG to determine a Scottish Cup participant, but officially null & void the leagues. The SFA told them that was not acceptable. If they wanted to get the Scottish Cup spot they would have to have an official league finish. This is looks to be the similar thing that the LL are having to do since it's obvious they want to have the SPFL Play-off this year.

Yeah I get what you are saying.

Just surprising across various levels that no rules were put in place for eventualities like we are seeing. It was kind of obvious this season was going to be a struggle at best.

Whatever happens so long as last season's HL/LL champions are in the play-off in May, or promoted with two others then that's a positive for the pyramid.

Some people talking about Vale of Leithen being relegated but the LL has it in their power to increase the number of clubs to 18 so VoL could still be saved (unless a Brora/Albion Rovers/EOS situation plays out).

Don’t feed the troll, ignore him. An absolute fucking buffoon. There should be an option in the football forums for OPs to empty and block clueless clowns like Mallo from threads and just leave them free to roam the General Nonsense forum.

50% was the eventuality and they only needed at most 6 more games for some clubs. Which is another reason they haven't pulled the plug in the hopes of actually playing the games.

But with SPFL1&2 starting back this is the LL's scramble to get into the SPFL Play-off. Since i'm sure Kelty will be happy to spend for the testing required to train and play the play-off games.

Ideal world they're probably hoping for Kelty v. Brechin in the SPFL Play-off. Kelty win promotion, Brechin relegated to the Highland and the LL in 2021-22 is at 16 teams.

They'll do all sorts of gymnastics to keep VoL up while simultaneously moaning that there is "deadwood" in League Two.

The "gymnastics" being done are to get a champion. Assuming that the vote to pass an end of the season under these circumstances comes down to a simple majority, they need 9 votes.

You're more likely to pick up votes from the bottom with no relegation at stake.

Brechin are pushing to be a LL side. Not sure what's happening there now

That doesn't make it right though. Any reasonable person would expect a team that's finished bottom of the league twice in a row, having picked up 8 points from 23 games and then 0 points from 12 games, to be relegated.

I haven't said if it's right or wrong. I'm only saying they are trying to win votes.

Someone will need to explain that logic to me. I see no advantage here. Next season it will be as hard as it’s always been without automatic promotion/relegation. There is no guarantee of league reconstruction either, in fact there now seems to be a groundswell of opinion against the Colts idea. The shit being thrown at George Fraser and the LL board over this is completely out of order.
