Is the SPFL really suggesting that SPFL2 is made up of the 10 strongest clubs in the Pyramid below SPFL1 ? Whether the SPFL like it or not they are at the head of the Pyramid and should stand by that responsibility to set the example for others to follow. This poster on NLM is generally accurate. Maybe there is a united front for the SPFL but is what they have decided being quoted accurately? i.e. has the NLM poster been fed accurate info? As we've seen with the talks over expanding SPFL2, the SPFL won't entertain a change even with it being a 16 team league and the play-off becoming Tier 5 Champions v. Club46. San Starko Rover Posted March 20, 2021 Share Posted March 20, 2021 The SPFL L2 teams will change their tune once they start to regularly lose the playoff to the LL/HL team. Currently only twice has this happened. The LL will get stronger each season with the best of the East and West entering. The current setup will make it extremely difficult for any relegated team to return so they’ll then want more fluid promotion and relegation. I want to see automatic relegation from League 2 minimum of 1.5 places like the other divisions but letting Colt teams into the SPFL is not a price worth paying to speed this up. They’ve already indicated other Premiership teams will start in the HL/LL so they’re going to screw over the EOS/WOS/SOS and probably your own league to do this. Looking at most of them there's a mention of a recall if the LL restarts, which Max Christie has confirmed is the case here. (goal diff +23)4 BSC. 2.315 East Stirlingshire 2.176 Gala Fairydean 1.837 Bo'ness United 1.8Goal difference settles it in the LL if teams have the same points.
