Conspiracy Theories

Recommended Posts

I watched the new Oliver Stone documentary on the JFK assanination last night. The first half is very analytical focuses on the autospy and the Warren Commission and proves beyond any doubt that he was shot from in front (meaning multiple shooters) and that the Warren Commission was corrupt. It also makes extremely strong arguments that Oswald wasn't on the 6th floor of the TSBD, that the "magic bullet" itself was planted and that the brain documented at the autospy wasn't JFK's brain.

The second half is more about the rivalry and tension between JFK and Allan Dulles and LHO's relationship with the CIA and FBI. It focuses on the basics without getting into more complex details but apparently an extended version is going to be released in February.

I knew most of the details but I wasn't aware of the transcript of the Parkland doctors telling the media on the day that he was shot from the front in a press conference which the Secret Service destroyed the tapes of. The other big impression is that despite the 'crank' label that gets attached to interest in this event researchers like John Newman and James DeEugenio are far more serious, credible and impressive people than the cretins who make up today's media class.

Why would the CIA want him offed?

This is from Wikipedia, so take that for what it's worth.

Conspiracy theorists have ascribed various motives for CIA involvement in the assassination of President Kennedy, including Kennedy's firing of CIA director Allen Dulles, Kennedy's refusal to provide air support to the Bay of Pigs invasion, Kennedy's plan to cut the agency's budget by 20 percent, and the belief that the president was weak on communism.

I've always thought the Mafia were more likely than the CIA, if it wasn't Oswald, maybe backed by anti Castro Cuban exiles.  Losing a fortune from their Havana casinos must have hurt, along with Kennedy shagging Sam Giancana's girlfriend and brother Robert's legal campaigns against them after they pretty well bought JFK the election. You'd expect the CIA to act more strategically, with J Edgar's help at the FBI they had far more dirt on Kennedy to manipulate him than they had on LBJ, and as with Lemmy's joke, the best evidence that it wasn't the CIA is that Kennedy's dead.
