Czech Republic v Scotland

Recommended Posts

What is the point of the wee passes played when a midfielder drops short and immediately passes it back to the defender who gave him it before running back to the position?!

The Czech defence are ropy but, aside from that brief period after the goal, we haven't got at them.

We are so slow and so tame.

A very good end to the season in premier league. He only needs to do nothing the next 5 games in a row and he will give us as much as the midfielders that played ahead of him

I’ve always felt it. He plays as an attacking midfielder mostly with often less defensive responsibility than teammates, but he usually just fills a jersey and offers little.

A bit of an imposter of a player who has got where he has by virtue of being articulate and having nice hair.

we get the ball in as far as their 18 yard line, midfielders then look like they dont know what they are meant to do . either hesitate to make a run or pass forward by which time the czech transition happens and we have no shape at the back allowing them to get a long shot away  .

every fking time.  Palmers been good and showing roberston right up tbh . Hes fkin hopeless!
This what happens when you play one up and midfield don't support the lone attacker

tbf the czech's have skewed their midfield over to Robertson's side leaving Palmer in acres of space.

agree on the midfield being static. There hasn't been a midfielder successfully running onto a forward ball. It is depressing stuff.

There's no driving force in that midfield, they all want to just stroll round and pretend they are a playmaker

Yep, it’s 2 ‘quarterbacks’. Both happy to sit and pop it 5-10 yards left and right. Horrific imbalance in there.

Another brutal half from Scotland. Save from the goal - which was a very good goal - we haven’t offered much of anything.

Czech C much the better side. Look better organised and better coached and if anyone deserves to be ahead at the break it’s them.

As always a  Scotland post update from Lex anytime 'we' are struggling.    The servile c**t is loving this tonight.

Adam Janoš has been very good in the middle of the park. Czech studio sounding very positive at the moment - a point would be big for them. Unreal how bad we are in midfield at times, and unable to string basic passes together.

It's quite bizarre that he's decided to drop Tierney keep the formation designed entirely to accommodate him.

It'll be unforgivable if he doesn't change this at half time. They are clearly there for the taking but we look completely clueless going forward, as we did against Israel.
