On topic, I see George is now saying that they will only stand in list seats with one candidate agreeing to take the first vote and a second going for the list votes. Seems it won't be a party as such, just an agreement with other parties to back each other up where necessary. In essence, George Galloway is asking Scots to vote Conservative in many places.

But that where the unions parties already need to get their seats from

Are there any of those in Scotland?

The answer below about covers it.

Why yes.

I believe the Conservative Party, Labour and the  Lib Dems would all be classed as "british nationalists".

Not NATS if it's a blue red and white one.

Yeah, it seems that British Nationalism isn't really nationalism, and British Nationalists don't like having it suggested that they are British Nationalists.

He’s going to town on the currency issue like he did in 2014, he completely went off on one recently on his radio show about it which had Scottish unionists rock hard for him.

f**k knows where he fits in with Scottish politics or Scottish society. On his “just say naw“ tour he compared Salmond to Farage in terms of his xenophobic attitudes and blaming outsiders for our own problems yet he jumped into bed with Farage over Brexit. A lot of Brexit voters in Scotland voted that way knowing it would likely lead to Indy ref 2 and even then 62% of Scotland disagree with his stance on Brexit which is a major issue for him. He claims to hate the tories but they are the only proper opposition to the SNP just now, he also is largely opposed to staunch right wing unionist types which is going to make his pro union campaign much harder and he supports Northern Ireland leaving the U.K. On top of that he talks of his dislike of Keir Starmer so I’m really not sure what he thinks is going to happen and what he wants people in Scotland to do with what they have on offer.

There isn’t a constituency for left wing unionism any more. Even the Labour left is divided 50/50 on the constitutional issue and a good chunk of them are leaving the party going by the pleading emails being sent out by multiple CLPs to stay and hash out the differences.

ETA: and those leaving the party are going to go Green or not vote next year and Harvie, Greer and especially Wightman have far more cache with disaffected young Labour leftists than George Galloway does.

It’s a bizarre phenomenon that can only really be explained by British Nationalists genuinely believing that their brand of jingoistic, Brexit-supporting, flag-waving, “my country” chanting patriotism is just too good and pure to be branded mere “nationalism”.

really pleased to see they're projected to get 3 more seats on current polling. Every single one of them have managed to do something of substantial value in this parliament, tremendous bang for buck with greens.

I kinda get some people’s dismissal of them as the recycling wing of the SNP particularly when it comes to the budgets but Wightman especially has been a fantastic parliamentarian and it would be a crime if he’s lost next year.

The party account is following 8 people:

David Coburn

Neil Oliver

Kerry Gill (Retired Daily Express 'journo')

Kevin Hague (Businessman that's spent years posting stuff 'debunking' the SNP)

The other 4 are no-name types with the Union Jack in their profile.

I'm sure the SNP are shitting it.

Galloway's politics and principles are all over the place, he's like Jeremy Thorpes wife who didn't know which way to turn.

Galloway is just another "Union at all cost" journeyman. They think they're making inroads because they shout a lot and get the backing of the orcs on Twitterland, but reality will bite when the SNP absolutely stroll the 2021 election.
