They did indeed but how did BSC get to play there if Lochburn wasn't a licensed ground?

There is really no such thing as a licensed ground, it is the club that is licensed. They have to play in a facility that meets the criteria of the Licensing manual, and have all the necessary paperwork in place to back that up. Presumably BSC had that at the time they played at Lochburn.

It makes perfect sense, if you are applying for planning permission and you do not own the land you must inform the owner of the land that you are doing it. however as there is no clear owner in this case so who do they inform As the land is held in trust for the town of Beith for the use as a football venue and NAC say it is not theirs.

Bo'ness United are in a similar scenario in that the ground was left to the people of Bo'ness at one point. Newtown Park is run by a charitable organisation for that reason that was set up by the local council in 2012 so there are definitely ways to solve this and become licensed:

Anyone who stuck a line on Beith winning the league at the start of the season probably got a decent return. The Buffs going down a big surprise as at the start of the season you'd have them down as at least a top half side. Pollok lose their claim on the prestigious best team outside Ayrshire ™ trophy.

Not looking to start an argument; but will next season see the start of a Darvel decline?

Potential big season for them to establish themselves as a Prem Club rather than just another very flash in the pan.

Will be interesting to see what happens, do their best players go back upstairs or to EK, does Tony Mac get the same budget, have the same pull to get top players in , is their going to be a mass exodus , so many players were probably there just for Mick Kennedy and the money! Going to be a very interesting pre season down there
