As much as a full fixture list is welcome, as a Talbot fan last season it was almost useless as there was so many changes.

I downloaded the fixture calendar to my ipad and for some reason it didn't update automatically so I had to constantly delete it and re-download it to get all the changes

Sitting idle on a a Saturday in August doen't make sense. It saves a midweek game later

Which is why it's a folly to insist on a full season fixture list for this level. Now it's there, the first chance they get people want to change it. Kennie has the worst job in football.

Pollok prices up to £9, £160 for membership, and capacity capped at 900.
Any insight into why the crowd cap? Seems related to licensing but ground can clearly safely hold more.
That's bad especially about crowd capping you can get over 1k at pollok for a big league game easy, its my favourite away ground in the league.

All clubs should be charging the same, probably around £8,  to let clubs set their own prices could stop fans travelling to away grounds under the current cost of living crisis that is going on.

Those days are gone and are never coming back as long as it's a Senior League set-up. Is there any other Senior League in Scotland that has a set price for all its clubs?

Last season someone came up with a graphic that had all the admission prices for the various clubs - anyone have similar for this season? Can the WoSFL release this information as clubs would likely have had to state their prices before the AGM.

Have to remember, the cost of living increase also affects the clubs who need to pay the inflated gas/electrical prices etc along with the bigger wages that are now standard practice at several clubs.

All well and good to say that clubs should cap their price, but for them to stay competitive prices need to increase.

That would be a cartel. Cartels are illegal.

Utilities cost what they cost but no club needs to pay bigger wages to players. If their financial model involves passing the cost onto the paying punters it's a bit shitty in the current climate.

Presumably there is plenty of grey area on this otherwise the £30 away fan ticket price in England would be illegal?

Also the old Junior leagues had a set price for all teams for literally decades without a legal challenge

Just because there hasn’t been a legal challenge doesn’t mean that the law hasn’t been broken.  See https://www.gov.uk/cartels-price-fixing/types-of-anticompetitive-activity -

Price fixing

You must not discuss the prices you’re going to charge your customers with your competitors.

You’ll be breaking the law if you agree with another business:

  • to charge the same prices to your customers

Clubs budgets will be based upon a number of factors including what they bring in at the gate so why shouldn't they charge the maximum to gain more money, especially if they have a large home fan base and don't necessarily require a large travelling support to make do.

I know that we (the Arthurlie membership) got to agree the prices at the AGM I presume other clubs still do that so it is not the club putting the prices up its the members.

Nobody ever answers the point about the English away fan cap when pricing comes up.

Do the league not have a cap here too? I thought there was a maximum clubs could charge? But at the end of the day that is not fixing the costs as clubs still have the opportunity to charge as they wish (with a maximum level)

It's up to them if they want to fleece fans, it's just not a great look in the current economic climate.
