WoSFL Premier Division thread

Every chance the bottom 6 just now could be the ones to drop.
Largs Cumnock Benburb KRR appear to be able to see out wins better than those below.
Must tip my hat to Troon, thought they would have been in there.
Troon have played more games than the 6 teams below them and the 6 teams above them. Five more games than Rob Roy, four more than Glenafton, three more than Cumbernauld. They are far from out of the equation. The same can obviously be said for my team who sit a place above Troon. Points on the board are always better than games in hand, but there's a long long way to go yet.

Given Talbot's progress on the big cup and involvement in several other cup competitions, and with Pollok now having played 5 league matches more, would it not have made more sense to have scheduled the outstanding league match between Talbot/Meadow last Saturday instead of playing a junior cup tie?

RE: the relegation spots on the table that's on whoever updates the wikipedia. Nae idea if they read p&b but shout out to you for getting the tables updated across non-league the same day as games.

Think Cumnock are no longer getting highlighted because Vale of Leithen can no longer theoretically overtake Caledonian Braves meaning the double relegation into the WoS & WoS champion not promoted scenario that the clubs were not notified about is mathematically impossible now if Broomhill are viewed as an EoS catchment club.

There was never going to be 9 teams relegated from the WoSFL Premier Division. It's not within the rules agreed by the clubs at the AGM and ratified by the Scottish FA.

Not arguing with you on that point. Although the wikipedia editor was being anal retentive by highlighting that scenario this season, it's something you should consider tidying up for future seasons because eventually there will be more of a chance of a double relegation happening.
The scenario has been discussed.

Can someone check in on Benburb's twitter admin? Having the mother of all meltdowns and needs someone to remove the log in from their possession.

Not very professional.

However that sending off was laughable.

No wonder they are raging.

Is there going to be further reconstruction within the leagues for next season or is there another bizarre reason for 6 clubs being relegated?

They're forming a 16 team Premier, 16 team First Division, 16 team Second Division with Third Division/Fourth Division depending on the numbers/future applicants.

Cheers, seems strange to reconstruct already considering the league hasn't been around for long. Only been to two WOSL games this season so fell away from it.

When the WoSFL was being formed it was for every applicant to be treated equally and have Conferences at Tier 6. This then would have formed 16 team Divisions to a bottom tier.

This then had to change as the SFA wouldn't sanction it. What happened was a compromise where the 16 2019-20 West Region Premiership clubs, 3 2019-20 West Region Championship clubs in position for promotion based on PPG, and Bonnyton Thistle (an existing Tier 6 club moving from the SoSFL) all made up a 20 team Premier Division.

The Conferences would then fit in below with the same original intent of forming 16 team Divisions all the way down. Then 2020-21 season was never completed due to COVID. This led to the creation of Division Four this season underneath the West Premier and Conferences.

Basically, the original plan was always to get to 16 team divisions all the way down. COVID has just interrupted things.
