If this shady manoeuvre had been done by either the SNP or Labour, then the levels of sheer indignance and horror would have been stratospheric. The government justified the absence of a competitive tendering process, which would have enabled other companies to bid, under emergency regulations that allow services to be urgently commissioned in response to the Covid-19 crisis. - My Arse they did.
Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
In years to come we'll find out exactly how all these contracts got handed out and it is going to be more than eye opening, but the electorate won't give one shiny f**k and will continue to pile in the votes for these c***s. I was reading an article on the same subject yesterday and while handing out contracts to pals and themselves is bad enough, it mentioned that Owen Paterson was on £100k per annum from a company (Randox) that got a testing contract. 100 fucking k! Anyhoo, the c**t makes about £20k per month from 'advisory roles' on top of being an MP. I'd love to see the fucker's timesheet. https://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/10473/owen_paterson/north_shropshire#register

peternapper
After english voters giving them a blank cheque with a big enough majority to please themselves the only way to go is to wash our hands of them asap. Cummings is obviously in charge just a case of whether he is working for himself or his Russian friends

(No consultancies were involved either.)

Look at the way Hancock has gone from warning of the effect of a Johnson leadership to the shameful lickspittle apologist he is now. Or Gove - from happily stabbing the blond cúntmonkey in the back in the previous contest for the leadership to his current DPRKesque propaganda role. Self-serving, traitorous cúnts every one. If it suits Cummings to appear to be friendly with Russia, then Putin's BFF he'll be - for as long as it benefits him personally.
Academically Deficient
Private Eye magazine documents similar stories every 2 weeks. The levels of what looks like corruption in the running of UK govt. is astonishing. And has been mentioned above, the mainstream media and voters dont care. If you have enough cash and a strong stomach, you can get the Conservative Party to do pretty much whatever you want. When the papers or BBC do pay attention it's from the angle of "naughty minister might have done something naughty" ( Jenrick et al) rather than " Attention Citizens! These people are taking you for mugs."

The corruption list in politics throughout the centuries is a long one. Sometimes politics and soft/brutal corruption go hand in hand.
