Not sure what the problem is here, were short of younger keepers.

I think the problem is he's 28 and has done nothing in his career so far to suggest he's an International level keeper.

But he plays for a foreign team we've all heard of so just call him up.

This is the modern equivalent of a called to a phone in who has identified players from The Sunday People results pages.

"Big McTavish is banging them in for Rochdale, how's he no' gittin a chance?"

His club manager seems to think he is better than Fraser Forster, is he really that rubbish?

Yes, the bang average McCarthy is preferred to him.

Did you not see him throwing in goals before he was dropped?

He'll be back on loan to Norwich once a Premier League team signs Tim Krul.

Hows Kelly been doing at QPR? Quite rated him when at Livingston.

I've watched QPR a few times and he's stinking. Doesn't look like a championship keeper, if he's in the Scotland squad we are really, really struggling.

Just glancing over his wiki. Born in France. What makes him eligible - parentage, I presume?

You didn't read very far on Wiki! His mum is Scottish.

Interesting fact about Bobby Allain (from Wiki) - Both his parents are deaf and he's fluent in sign language. He spends his spare time coaching a deaf football team.

I don't watch it personally.

But on the eufa coefficients olympiakos are ranked higher than any scottish team.

The Scottish league is also ranked higher than the Greek league in those same co-efficients. That would suggest that whilst Olympiakos might be better than Celtic, this league as a whole is stronger.

We're essentially discussing a less experienced Scott Bain here.

I don't think the eufa coefficients is proof of anything. I didn't when I mentioned it either.

Let's just say the league standards look pretty similar on paper.

Ive not seen him neither have you.

So hes possibly an equivalent of scott Bain (who was in ours squads very recently)

Or he may be the best keeper in the world who is about to redefine football as we know it.

Probably not true but let's get him in a squad and see. If hes crap hes crap 🤷‍♂️

Keepers are different with call ups tho aint they? Lots of countries use the 3rd keeper spot and give it a young keeper or lower league keeper who's on the up rather than whoever is actually the 3rd best keeper in their country.

Bobby Allain isn't either of those things.
