New signings?

Recommended Posts

With only 16 signed players there’s a very real possibility of some of the reserves going up as we seen last season.

16 signed players (now 17) 3 months before the season starts is more than we’ve had at this stage for many years! Probably another 2 or 3 to come in, but still opportunities for South boys when needed.

Is it just Lewis Mccintyre that has made step up from the reserves ?

Tommy Goss signing for Queens .Will he be good enough to make the step up  huge jump from South football to the Championship .

I think we'll see him back in the south next season. Very good player but in my opinion he's not good enough to make an impact at championship level.

He is a decent player .Queens could be a big step up as stated above .

Annan would be a good move .

Wouldn’t be a surprise to see him at Annan. Similar type of player to Tommy Muir that they lost to Stenhousemuir.

Tommy muir’s a better player and athlete. I don’t think they’re comparable but Annan would probably be a more realistic move for him.

Are there any other players in the south who could make the jump to Annan or Stranraer?

Going by the Nithsdale twitter account they don’t seem to be struggling. Looks like majority of last seasons squad retained with 4/5 new faces added in.

Abbey vale and threave also been busy going by the twitter accounts.
Hearing today Sean mckenzie is away to Cumnock, that's a massive loss if correct , obviously a cash payment to nithsdale but take a bit of replacing

Jamie Adams has signed for Creetown on the basis that he only plays on grass parks. Great signing for Creetown none the less!

A fair coup for Creetown.  A fit Jamie Adams wouldn’t of been shy of offers.

Unfortunately the boy has a nightmare with injuries. Still a managed to have a decent career which is testament to his character.

Jamie was offered a deal at Stranraer but, felt League 2 might be too much for his body.  Admire him for recognising this. Many a player over the years has been happy to sit and take a pay packet knowing fine well they’re not up to it.

Looking forward to seeing a good competitive Creetown side.

Some good signings recently , especially for a couple of the Clubs in the West of the region ! Good luck to Tommy Goss at Queens , Iain Anderson at Dalbeattie and Sean McKenzie at Cumnock , all good players making a step up and rewarded for good form in the South.

Anderson is at Annan  I think .
