Lewis Capaldi hatred thread

Recommended Posts

There’s loads of bands who just tried to copy Oasis’s style in the early 2000s.
Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Gorillaz. I’m sure there are more.
If you’ve hear one, you’ve heard them all tbh.

One of the worst posts I’ve ever seen written on this forum. When you consider it has posters such as Bennett, that’s quite the achievement.

This is exactly why I like Lewis Capaldi.

If he was on stage and P&B were a heckling crowd telling him he’s a c**t and his music’s shite; you just know he’d just stand there flicking his nips goading and laughing like ‘Away back to your wee fitbaw forum ya absolute tadgers!’

Capaldi was a decent giggle at first but he quickly got irritating and then became the idol all the wee bams look up to.

Like others I used to think I hadn't even heard him sing but it was pointed out to me that he sings in a weird accent and I had in fact heard one or two of his songs. (they're brutal) .

I have seen wee neds on twitter openly confess their love for Capaldi, back in the day if a wee bam said that kinda stuff he'd get a doin aff the young ned team for listening to shite but it's ok cos he drinks buckie in situations you wouldn't see buckie.

Cinnamon isn’t terrible but just trying to be Oasis.

He sits somewhere between good Oasis ‘94 and ‘95, and shite Oasis ‘96 - onward.

Is this a serious take?

Surely not.

Cinnamon at his best is "Little James" Oasis.

And I don't even mind Cinnamon.

All those incorrect examples and no mention of The Enemy.

Bit harsh to suggest The Enemy were derivative of a single source when there are multiple cases of them blatantly recreating the songs of much better bands than Oasis.

Don't particularly like either of them from a musical point of view but they both seem decent enough chaps.

Old boss of mines used to have Gerry Cinnamon in playing his pub on a weekly basis around 10 years back, mostly covers then and far from the greatest at it. Think he was a regular in a few other pubs as well, so regardless of his ability he certainly hammered the hours in to get where he is.

Liam is a far nicer chap than Noel. I do love Oasis and am a fan of their more recent individual work but there’s a time and a place for then and I think they both struggle to come to grips with it not being 1996 anymore. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Noel say he likes another band.

Not sure when Noel was last caught beating his wife on CCTV:
