Monthly wow.... My workplace has worked right through lockdown. Our cleaning regime has quadrupled and in addition everyone cleans their workplace before and after work every day. You lot haven't changed anything except a monthly deep clean. You have got to be kidding... Or perhaps just making it up!!!!
Only cleaning at non league in my day consisted of a broom sweeping up the mud and sock tape.
Maybe hose down the communal bath a bit and pick out the beer tins.
A deep clean now probably means 2 brooms.

Despite all of the major problems which have occurred, the WoSFL has now started.  Yes, some clubs are not participating in 2020/21, which is disappointing, but the majority have.

Therefore,  massive congratulations should be given  (1) to those clubs who have restarted against the odds (2) to the players who have made it possible, and (3)to the management of the new West of Scotland Football league, who in my opinion have performed miracles, in getting the league up and running.

Well done to all concerned.

Better hope none of the playing clubs fall by the wayside.

The beloved leaders plan is to beat them to death should any club fall down after a few games.

Just to clarify a couple of points made above. No official list of possible sanctions for clubs withdrawing after November has been produced. And if teams retain their WoSFL membership and pay their insurance premium then there would be no reason why they wouldn't have insurance cover after November, even if they have withdrawn from playing this season.

Jason Leitch said on Radio Scotland yesterday that crowds would be back first at smaller local games.

But no timescale. And no confirmation of in what number.

As I understand it, and it really is not something I have read up on so am taking this from what I have skimmed or heard, crowds will be allowed at Tier 0 and 1. Only Shetland comes close just now. Most of the country is at what will be tier 2 with some at tier 3. The virus is not under any sort of control yet.

I'd rather we did the opposite to that lot of basket cases for as long as possible! emoji1.png

Well one thing they have right is getting on with things at non league level. Restricted crowds allowed and players allowed to use changing rooms with sensible precautions. I'm not aware of any major issues for the 12 or so weeks this has been in operation.

The only non league levels that are allowed fans are those which are below national league level and are classed as recreational football. All levels of what has been classed as "elite", from national league north and south upwards still have no fans.

Even stranger is that where a recreational team hosts an elite team in the FA Cup or Trophy then only home fans are supposed to be allowed in.

Have it on good authority that the initial tiers are as follows

Tier 4: None
Tier 3: North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Glasgow City, Renfrewshire, East Dunbartonshire, East Ayrshire, West Lothian, South Ayrshire*, North Ayrshire*, East Renfrewshire*, West Dunbartonshire*
Tier 2: Dundee, Clackmannanshire, Edinburgh, Falkirk*, Stirling*, Midlothian, East Lothian*, Inverclyde*
Tier 1: Dumfries & Galloway, Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, Fife, Angus, Perth & Kinross, Moray, Highlands, Scottish Borders, Shetland, Orkney, Western Isles
Tier 0: None

* - these areas should technically be one tier lower based purely on case numbers, but are being elevated due to their close proximity to higher risk areas

Good news for Kello Rovers, if true.

Not that we need to justify anything, a company comes in and treats the changing rooms with a specialised spray, same as used by SPFL clubs, airlines, airports etc and it protects surfaces for a month. Only basic cleaning required after every game. External surfaces around the ground have also been treated.

Not something you lot need to worry about for a while yet.

Under what criteria is Shetland the only local authority area close to level 1 . Evidence please🙂

Ehh no cases? And it's health boards is it not, rather than LAs? I don't know on that either way. If it's health boards, where I am covers Campbeltown to Wick!

https://www.shetnews.co.uk/2020/10/23/first-minister-outlines-new-tiered-approach-to-covid-19-restrictions/

Nicola Sturgeon did say today that most of Scotland is currently at what is going to be tier 2 (i.e. no home visits), the central belt lot at tier 3 (closed hospitality).

Will there be downgrading by the 2nd? Not convinced!

do you have anything remotely constructive to say ?

or are you just going to slag off everything and anything to do with the restart? My club are giving it a go and we'l see what that brings rightly or wrongly ,who really knows how it will all pan out ,glad other clubs are also giving it a go but I can also understand why some clubs are having a season out ,if it all goes pear shaped then fair enough, at least we tried [emoji16]

1) Could you please show where it says tier 1 would be 0 cases /

2) Could you please show where it says the tiers next week will be decided by health board areas and not local authority areas.

1) Level 0 is nearly normal - like what we had over summer. No one will be level 0. All of mainland Scotland is at equivalent of level 2 or 3 currently - quote NS herself.

"‘Level 0’ is effectively the same level of protection as the Route Map Phase 3 measures Scotland reached in August and will act as a baseline"

https://www.gov.scot/news/scotlands-strategic-framework/

There is no chance any area will be level 0 this week, so the only authority currently covid free is the best candidate for level 2.

2) Recheck what I edited in bedfore you replied within a minute! All of NS's reporting is by health board, as are the current restrictions, but I have no idea if the levels will be applied like that.

Let's see how clubs react when they get fined for failing to field a team for a few games because of Covid.

Half arsed leadership and falsehoods since about March.

The tiers will be by local authority level. Data for local authorities and even dropping down to neighbourhoods. The data is available on the PHS website and can show the average over 7 day periods (last one ended on Friday).

No such rule is in place.

Come on, tell the plebs what punishment awaits clubs who go AWOL in a few weeks time after starting in the league.

Really think that the rulers will relax the dressing room restrictions to allow games to carry on during the winter months. As we are all football fans then I guess everyone is helping on donate a ticket, streaming games etc - or just sitting back waiting for everything to go wrong (while they visit the pub of course)  Expect most players were just glad to get back on the park ,playing the game they love. The pessimists must be a joy to live with (not just on here)

Dalry the next to pull out - Conference C down to 10 teams

That's a bloody shame that. Club obviously wanted to have a go at it as well.

I've obviously missed the reason for the change happening. Was it just done to even the numbers up regardless of geography?
