So one rule could be that clubs are banned from playing matches during Level 4 restrictions. Sorted.

If the clubs wish to introduce such a rule then there is a process for that to happen. But no club has expressed such a desire.

They're applying the same principle as you are in that no-one from "above" has told you to stop them playing so it's ok. Whereas it's plainly not ok.

In your opinion, which you are perfectly entitled to hold and air.

Thanks. And so it will be until someone can point out the benefits of continuing. On the other hand, there are many benefits to having a hiatus.

That's a debate for others. I just had to point out that your calls for the IMG to halt the games was pointless, as it was a decision the clubs would need to make.

So are you saying it's impossible for the IMG to impose a break in matches?

It's not impossible, no. But at the moment there are no such intentions.

And so the circle is complete. There is a lack of responsible leadership.

Nobody knows as no testing is taking place at our level

There wouldn't need to be to be able to identify that there was a significant issue. If training sessions and games resulted in easy transmission between players and coaching staff then given the current level of prevalence of COVID there should be postponements happening regularly as entire teams become symptomatic and cluster effects of cases elsewhere in workplaces and schools that could easily be traced back to a WoS team as the "spreader event". That has not been happening, because football happens outdoors and is inherently low risk if sensible precautions are taken. Worry about things like secondary schools and workplaces that are being kept open indoors for reasons of economic expediency through all of this because that's a much more likely avenue for community spread.

Not sure why the fixation on stopping football? You should take a trip to the Forge in Glasgow right now. Thousands of people crammed into an enclosed shopping centre, many choosing not to wear facemasks or observe directions of travel. If that's OK, why should there be a moral panic regarding lower tier football.

It’s not about stopping football !!!!
It’s WoSFL playing friendly’s with no fans and no income, it’s an unnecessary risk to take for both committee, players and officials with nothing at the end of it.

If you dont want the football, give it a wide berth. Let those who WANT it, continue with what they are doing. Everyone knows the risks, they choose to take that. Those who didn’t have taken time out.

Change the record, it’s boring. Very very boring.

So tell me what is the end game for all those playing this season apart from maybe bankruptcy

Take it Clydebank are praying that they get a shot at the playoffs so they can take another step to try and reach their holy grail of reaching the big leagues.

You were there once before and made a rip roaring c**t of yourselves so just content yourself with trying to be Billy Big Bass at the level your at.

I guess the correct people to ask would be the clubs choosing to play. Essentially all football should stop, really. I still don't  understand why the WoSFL has been turned into a deadrubber, but seeing as a large number of fully professional national leagues down south like the Vanarama National are losing games each week to COVID outbreaks surely all football should close down? And while we're at it people shouldn't be allowed to gather en-masse in shopping centres or high streets. People should be banned from travelling entirely.  Plenty of much larger clubs are facing bankruptcy too, so they should stop.

But there is Test, Track and Trace and still nothing has shown up links to the little amount of Tier 5 and lower football which has been played or the Juniors or North Caledonian League for that matter!

This is clearly an inconvenient truth for some, including the SP.

Now all could still change to justify your point of view (with the new variant covid ) but there's nothing showing as yet.
