Behave, if the guy cant take criticism then walk away.

Btw, the Juniors are history so there's no need for drip feeding a few games at a time.

3 or 4 fixture cards at a time is surely the way to go this season with potential cancellations , postponements and even clubs pulling out. Take it slowly and you might get there.

Again, I bow to your superior intellect. My grandaughter is only nine though, but she done the best she could.

She has managed to do the full season though. It's not published because the I.T. Department have still to update the system to take into account the new Leagues.

When's the job application coming?

Meant the restrictions across the North West of England and was just glad to see that a League was putting a plan B into place - rather than last season's farcical endings. Think every league in England & Scotland faces difficult times and decisions ahead, hope the Scots can get back to watching games asap.

Think they’ll need more than a plan B if they keep this sort of behaviour up

Twelve members of a football team have been fined after claiming they were from the same household while drinking in a pub.

They were in the Wouldhave in South Shields, South Tyneside, when staff members challenged them after seeing their football kit under their jackets.

Northumbria Police said the member of staff reported a breach of the coronavirus regulations, and officers arrived at the pub. The group was fined £200 each, which will be halved if it is paid within a fortnight.

Let's face it the mindset you have is clearly half glass full.  You can bleat on for the next year about stats and figures and this and that hoping more teams pull out and things don't work out and the just majority of us who support the restart can enjoy our clubs being back playing and the small relief and distraction that the football will brings us in these times .

No, just not deluded about what we're living through - the worst health pandemic for 100 years according to Scotland's national clinical director earlier today.

I don't hope for clubs to do anything - it's for them to decide.

...which conveniently fails to mention that the H1N1 flu pandemic 102 years ago was much worse than what we are going through now, which is a lot more similar in magnitude to the flu pandemics of 1957 and 1968 which are both estimated to have led to over 1,000,000 deaths globally at a time when the world's population was significantly smaller than it is today. A lot of people still seem to be viewing COVID-19 in the manner it was being reported back in February when a 2% mortality rate was being reported from Wuhan. The latest IFR number from WHO is 0.2% with a much lower figure for those under 60, but the media coverage and general overall fear level do not seem to have adjusted yet to be proportionate to what is actually happening.

You can always stop wearing a mask for a few days and mingle with some crowds If you’re not that worried about catching it

Absurd misreading of what I wrote. Saying something is comparable to the second and third worst flu pandemics of the twentieth century is not the same thing as saying people shouldn't worry about wearing masks.

Yes let's not get a grip on our hysteria and fixate over COVID as if it is the only thing people can die from at the moment and not also worry about the effect all the cancelled cancer screenings and treatment appointments are having because our IQs are so low that we can only deal with one problem at a time. Anyone who tries to get us to be rational is Donald Trump or far right. Same old same old.

Lesmahagow officially withdrawn

Club Statement

Lesmahagow Juniors have regretfully announced that it has been decided not to participate in the inaugural season of the West of Scotland football league at tier 7. This is a decision that has been made after long soul searching and deliberation with the committee and management staff.

Under current match day protocols set out by the WOSFL, Scottish Football Association and the Scottish Government spectators are not permitted to attend matches.

With no clear pathway or timeline for this to end and the implications for a season long ban on fans and the implications that this has for the finances of the club it has led us to this difficult decision.

Added to this would be the cost of facilities match officials, amongst other costs we would incur in a season that has no promotion or relegation.

The health and safety of the players was also a big consideration as current protocols prevent the use of changing and showering facilities.

It has to be noted and appreciated that the players were prepared to compromise on agreed wages but overall we felt it’s not appropriated or viable to participate in this season.

As a committee we have had a long think together and have agreed to continue with monthly meetings following government guild-lines, also we will be continuing with the lucky 4 weekly draw & 200 club draw as at present this is the only income being brought in and keeping the club alive at these difficult times we are all facing.

Stay safe and well.

The committee & management of Lesmahagow Juniors FC

Why has it taken some clubs all this time to pull out? They are basically releasing the same statements as the original clubs but have waited an extra couple of weeks to make the decision

I think it's taken a few friendlies for some to realise that the practicalities of financing and playing games under the current circumstances aren't working for them however much they hoped it would.

Don't think they'll be the last unfortunately

Well done The Gow looking after their long term future.

Lot of nonsense that people like you tell yourself to try and make yourself feel better about the poor decision made that puts the future of your club in doubt far more than those playing as well as damaging your clubs reputation as well as the fans that will be lost to the game hence why the vast majority of clubs are participating this season .

Don’t think they will be the last before November deadline for no penalty to withdraw
