Don’t agree with a lot of what Anne Budge says but one thing she said which was correct for the size of the country population wise we have too many professional teams

It's not that we have too many professional teams (there are only around 22 full time professional clubs).  The problem is that we have too many semi-professional clubs who have a disproportionate influence on how the fully professional game is run, e.g. a half a dozen part time clubs in SPFL L1 and L2 can block a league reconstruction that has the  unanimous backing of all the full time clubs.

This whole pyramid thing is pie in the sky only for glory hunters with sugar daddies ……… Cove and Kelly come to mind.

Lets take Darvel as an example there are already a SPFL and Championship teams within 15 -20 miles of Darvel so the area needs another “professional “ team like a hole in the head.

The same goes for most of the teams in the west of Scotland they would all be chasing the same fans

Does budge think if there were only Premier and championship. And1&2 teams. Their stadiums would be full to bursting. From fans of leagues below those  divisions. Jumping on board another team?

Why don't the sg tell us the health condition. And the ages of the people who die from covid. That would at least remove at least some of the fear factor surely.

What do you need to know? It's pretty common knowledge even if you don't know the exact figures.

Ok let’s take Linlithgow within a 20 -25 mile radius we have at present Livingston, Hearts, Hibs, Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath, East Fife, Stirling, Motherwell, Airdrie and probably Hamilton …… 9 clubs within a 20-25mile radius

Excellent point, do they think we’d all be lining up to go watch Thistle or something? Anne Budge and her like are the problem with Scottish football not small clubs who give back to their communities.

It isn't as cheap as what you think to stream the games. You need to fork out for the camera, laptop, software and hardware to stream the games. Renting or buying there us still a cost attached to it. Pinning your hopes on a grant would be foolish. Even if there is one by the time it filters down to this level it won't amount to much.

The only sensible thing to do was to delay the season and review it again in January. By then the latest measures would have had time.

What is the point in clubs at this level playing behind closed doors when the majority won't be streaming the games. Plus you have no promotion or relegation. It's no surprise that it is the bigger clubs with the bigger outlays that don't think it makes sense to play.

Well I whole heartedly agree with you on a delay and review. It would have been the correct decision. Cant understand the desire by most to rush into the 24th

I'd be seriously worried long term if I was Cowdenbeath, Stenhousemuir, Stirling Albion etc.

31 West sides voted against starting now - why 17 decided that was not enough to also pull out is up to them. And why of the 6 of the initial 14 changed their mind is also up to them. Let's see who stays in as the next few days / weeks unfold.

Already a few teams in the lower Leagues who voted to start having discussions about the reality of life without money

Communication eh?? Fans kept in the dark then

Kilsyth were in the papers saying they would pull out then came out after the vote saying they wouldn't. So perhaps that's one other? SBA manager very anti pulling out over weekend but they were another suggestion - again something said on social media to say they were going on I think. Heard a few from your neck of the woods were also considering it but neither came to pass.

As Sandy says though, others might come round to another way of thinking. I see Royal Albert on twitter asking for fan views.

I'm wondering how some clubs will deal with their players if expenses are the only payment offered. Say a club has 16 players and its an away game. For arguments sake due to restrictions with no car sharing its a £5 towards your petrol money. £80 out the coffers straight away. Also your first choice goalie can't drive.....that's a bummer.
