How to do clubs distribute tickets, process payments, make sure that tickets aren’t transferred? Again the question is that will this add additional costs to the club that make it not worthwhile? If it is easy then great that can solve all the ills but unfortunately it isn’t.

The one thing we can’t get away from is that clubs are responsible for all of this and not just to the fans but to the government.

Are you saying Arthurlie don't know all the regulars?

Many of these clubs advertise as community clubs, what are they doing for the community by voting to play with none of the community able to watch?
It's not that they would rather play without their fans.
It's more that they would rather play than not play.
If there are no fans, that's disappointing but not the end of the world.

If they cared that much for the fans of the club, they would all play for free this season

I didn’t say that, but there will always be people who occasionally go that you might not remember. But there is then the question of payment and distribution of tickets plus stopping people who just turn up entering the ground.

Some clubs around Bristol have sold tickets online, then collected £ on the gate. Would this be expensive to set up and run ? Announce games are sold out , most sensible folk wouldn't turn up. That's the sticking point, like telling fans not to travel overseas, but they still turn up. Can't account for the idiot brain cells.

I dislike the idea that everything has to happen for the top leagues first which has been prevalent in Scotland. Non league is an excellent place to try new measures in small crowds, Holm Park can easily hold around 1500 people, there is no reason why Clydebank for example couldnt sell up to 300 tickets for home fans with online or season ticket only access. This could be done quite easily for track and trace, no food sold in the ground and adequate social distancing on the terraces, yes imo there would need to be portable urinals And portaloos brought in and an entry/exit strategy, however, small clubs are crafty, they’ve been fighting for survival for years, if there is any type of club who would find a way to make this work its a non league club. With support from the SFA it could be successful.

Maybe it's just a case of letting non league football back, where say 350 would be the biggest crowd ?  Can fully understand it regarding professional football, the likes of Leeds,Liverpool and Sunderland didn't do any favours in a bid to get fans back.

even a low estimate of 200 per stadium would mean over 12000 people moving around west of scotland for a game  using public transport, car bike walking ect

One of the bigger issues which has not been mentioned is how are players going to travel to grounds to play games with everybody being encouraged not to travel together in cars?  Not every player can drive and and rely on team mates for transport to and from games  The issue of changing and showering  has not been fully resolved as well, I don’t think you can expect players to turn up and hour before the game in the pissing rain  and gale force winds or worse snowing  warm up and not have the opportunity to dry off and changeout of training kit and  into dry playing kit.   These have to be resolved before we can talk about getting fans into the grounds.

Totally agree what your saying but if it’s true that only 7 managers/clubs are not prepared to play with no fans you would have to think that the other clubs players are prepared to turn up stripped and go home soaking wet and covered in mud🤷🏻‍♂️

^^^this needs to be explained politely but forcefully by as many people as possible in phone calls to their SNP MSP with the implication being that how this gets handled could be their Jo Swinson bowling club issue.

Just how many people on the electoral role do you think give a flying f**k about non league football …… Most are more interested in their health and keeping their jobs

You are posting in the thread frequented by people who do care. Jo Swinson is alleged to have lost her seat at Westminater because of a local bowling club issue almost nobody cared about. It doesn't necessarily take much feedback to galvanise politicians into action.

Maybe the players at the 14 teams are desperate to play?

I'm not saying it's right but politicians react to pressure. An electorate of 10k say nothing and will get no attention but a few dozen from the local club demand action they are likely to achieve something.

What fecking planet are you on if you add all the spectators at every single game in the whole WoS league games you’d be lucky to get 5K people

That’s Dumfries, Ayrshire, Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Renfrewshire and Dunbartonshire outwits the top leagues these games are watched by 2 men and a dug

She lost her seat because she was a terrible MP that only cared about her political career than her local constituents. I know this as having had to deal with her through work and having friends and family who lived in her community.

In any case this is not political it is a public health issue. The government are not going to go against the experts that are advising them. As much as you seem to think that the politicians will change their minds they need evidence from reputable and authentic sources and for there minds to be changed.

Surely the issue with players not getting into dressing rooms and having a shower has to be resolved before we can let fans back in . What happens if we get a very cold and wet October or even worse if it continues into november and we get a day like we had up at neilston for the scottish cup game. You cant ask players to go straight home soaking wet and freezing cold . I know i was wet and freezing just watching i had plenty layers on not just a football kit then maybe a tracksuit to travel home in .
