We have given 5 youth players professional contracts, 1 full-time. These have to be earned and given on merit. We are not running our Youth system to develop players capable of playing in the Lowland League. We are doing it to retain those that are good enough to sign for Premier League teams. NathanQP
Can’t wait until we start building a squad so these nonsense discussions can stop. If we get worried about the second team in Cumbernauld taking our players, then we should just pack up and go home.
an86
Sal signed for Livi. Pleased for him. Regardless of where we are, nobody is turning down Premiership football to sign/stay with us. Just shows that there's more than one route to climb your way up as well. Initially unsuccessful at senior level and back to the juniors before doing well with us. Good luck to him.

The membership spoke and spoke resoundingly in favour of the club evolving. Anyone pretending we were carrying the torch of pure amateurism for the past couple of decades is kidding themselves. Cue for song - just as it ever was.

Delighted for him, it’s really interesting when you look at his career and the steps he’s had to make to get his move to the spl. Would comfortably say he’s been our most effective striker since Longworth and if it wasn’t for corona, I think he would of surpassed Longworth’s best goal tally in a season. Really hope he gets given a decent opportunity to showcase his talent for livi as his heading ability and eye for goal is fantastic, something we’ve lacked so much in recent years Good luck to him Edited July 12, 2020 by qpfc

It's almost like folk have to invent things. I've absolutely nothing against the lads who've moved on. They were honest and hard working and may, in the fullness of time, prove to be players who can play consistently at league level. However, the fact that many of them have signed for Cumbernauld Colts in the Lowland League might suggest that they aren't quite what we're looking for in terms of being a team at the top end of League Two. The President and the committee have dealt with the off the park side of things very well. The manager has lost one league game since he came in. I think the sensible stance would be to put trust in those at the club and enjoy the fact that we're in an unbelievably good place, compared to where we could have been.
QPSpider1867
Sean Burns signs for Stranraer. I’m looking forward to playing them. I’m sure Sean has developed further since his time at Queen’s.
bobthespider
Just looking forward to going to games again . Moving the tape they put on seats . Nodding to people you know as fans but not their names. Keeping a safe distance. Getting excited about the actual team announcement that day . Talking about the game on the way home. Reading pie and Bovril at night and watching the highlights when they are ready . That’s what I miss most...can’t wait till October. Yes we are professional now and thank goodness . could never imagine stopping going to games .
geo87
Nosey St Mirren fan here looking on with interest...I didn’t realise until recently you were going full time. Is this due to the sale of Hampden? If so how much are you likely to receive? Will lesser Hampden be your new ground? And does it require any work to be up to licensing standards? Is there a set plan in place? Ie get to championship in x amount of years? As I can’t imagine league 2 football at full time would be sustainable for too long? How are the signings looking for season ahead? Great opportunity for the club if being managed correctly at the top! Shake up of the pyramid will re-ignite lower league football - will be a really exciting few years ahead as we start to see some big changes in league 2!
